This series is too cute in so many ways. Each girl depicts a different kind of "bell" and is dressed and adorned as such. Also they actually are bells. Called "Belles" because they are charming and elegant little girls.

Made by Muriel Josef George circa 1960. Designed by Muriel herself in California and made in Japan. They are 4 inches tall and have a bell clapper under their dress. Hand painted detailing with lots of gold trim and the signature black eyes and raised pink roses make these little cuties irresistible. Also very "Hard to Find" as most of the older Josef's are these days.
~Pictured in the JO book "Charming Figurines" on page 50-51.
*This is the "Dinner Belle" She is dressed in pink with a white apron trimmed in gold and adorned with a raised pink rose and gold leaves. She is carrying a cake.
~Excellent condition with no chips cracks or repairs. Bell clapper is in tact.
~Stamped inside "Josef Originals ©"
~She has her original black & gold "Josef Originals" and "Japan"
stickers.
