The "Lefton Dutch" series made by the George Z Lefton company Circa 1950's-60's is one of my favorite Figural collections. There are "Dutch Girl" and also "Dutch Boy" items and some feature both like the Salt & Pepper set. Other pieces include a teapot, sugar & creamer, butter dish, cookie jar, egg cup & milk pitcher. Collect them all I did! Such sweet faces and wonderful hand painted details like the tulips on her dress and the wooden shoes sticking out make them truly irresistible. *This is the "Cream Pitcher" ~She is 5 inches tall ~Very good condition with no chips cracks or repairs. She does have some age crazing and a few tiny rough spots that could be fleabites or factory flaws. ~Pictured in the Lefton Collectibles book and valued at $55.00 **This piece is very unusual because there are no markings on the bottom. There is blue glazed paint that might have been accidentally put on during the manufacturing process that is covering up the number. There is normally no paint on the bottom. Also the painting is a little off so maybe a new worker did this one and she got by inspection. Still a great piece! Perfect for the Lefton or the Dutch figural collector. Please see all pictures and check out my other goodies. Thanks for looking ^..^~
