1950s Vintage Straw Purse by Mr Norman
1950s Vintage Straw Purse
This vintage straw box bag is made in basket weave with huge flowers on all four sides and the top. It is lined with brown fabric. It has a label which says 'DESIGNED BY MR. NORMAN, MADE IN R.P." It is in like new unused condition. It measures 6½" x 6½" and is 7½" high. In the photo you will notice a slight gap on the left side when the purse is latched, this is not damage, only a flaw in the original production.
This tiny little purse is made of turquoise suede leather with a goldtone expanding top. It has a loop that allows it to hang from a chatalaine. The fullness of the bag is due to my stuffing it to show it off better for the photos. The bag measures just a mere 3 3/4 inches long. The condition is excellent with the exception of some soil on the leather. Circa Early 1900.
