Colors are still VIBRANT, as shown, on this linen cloth book. 12 pages of illustrated Nursery Rhymes. All Linen Series, circa late 1800's. Since this is linen has held up intact. Measures 8-5/8 inches wide by 10-3/8 inches high.

c1945-BLACK BEAUTY Book By Anna Sewell,ILLUSTRATED Nice First Edition, The Autobiography of a Horse - BLACK BEAUTY classic by ANNA SEWELL. Nice heavy hardback bound book, by Illustrated Junior Library, GROSSET & DUNLAP PUBLISHERS, NEW YORK. The special contents in this edition are copyright, 1945, by Grosset & Dunlap, Inc. Book has ILLUSTRATIONS by FRITZ EICHENBERG. Has a total of 288 pages. Book is in really good condition for its age. Pages are great. Its the BOOK COVER that is a little to be desired. (As you can see, has been lovingly used.) Binding is still intact, solid and secure. Nice hard backboards, front and back. Is only showing ever-so-slight yellowing around the edges. No tears, nor stains. The first inside page the previous owner has attached a *sticker*that has their name written on sticker, as the opposite page says: Christmas 1946 To Verna Ann Tavernier from Edward William Tavernier. Wonderful collectible lithograph illustrations, there are TEN of them, on quality paper with no printing on the back, so you can frame them if you wanted to. Then the rest of the book is very interesting to the little reader. Throughout the book are 93 black and white illustrations that range approx. in size, from 1/3-1/2 of the page size.
