1918 Postcard of AEF of France WWI Armistice Day
Here is a small piece of historical significance that relates to WWI. Is a postcard issued to his family on the day of Armistice. November 28, 1918. Was written by Geo. V. Evans, Private 185th Aero Squadron, 1st Pursuit Group, A.E.F. France. AMERICAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCE, FRANCE. Was Soldiers Mail, postmarked 1918. Addressed to his brother: Mr. J. A. Evans, 604 Junaita Street Hollidaysburg, Penna. U.S.A. Was written on a postcard of the K Of C, (Knights Of Columbus) On Active Service WITH THE AMERICAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCE. Thanksgiving Day Nov. 28, 1918. Dear Bro. Al. Just a line to let you know I am well and hope you are all the same. We had three little pigs for dinner. I ate so much I nearly busted. I suppose you people are glad to know the war is Finne'. I think I will get home soon then I can tell you all about it. With Love to all. Your Bro, Geo.
