This is a wonderful antique chromolithograph is a RARE find indeed. Is a special print run made by Hire's Root Beer. Printed on the back is as follows: **This is a famour picture, a familiar sight to European connoisseurs, but not so well known here. It is the best copy extant of that exquisite oil painting. "The Parting of Ruth and Naomi." All the pathos of this touching episode of Scripture is here--the local color, the sentiment. It is another reading by the thought of inspiration. The artistic beauty of the pleading attitude, the tenderness of expression, and the womanly warmth cannot be too much admired; it is enough to say they have never been surpassed. In his last summer's travels abroad, our Mr. Charles E. Hires obtained a copy of this work, and at a cost of over Five Thousand Dollars (%,000) we have had it reproduced with scrupulous exactness by lithography. This materpiece of lithographic art is offered as a Souvenir to the patrons of Hires' Improved Root Beer. A copy will be sent to any address on receipt of a 2 cent stamp. Address, The CHARLES E. In EXCELLENT condition, great VIVID colors, top back of card has glue/paper remnants only. Front has darkened glue, as shown in photo. Minor. Measures 5-7/8" W x 5" H. In lower right hand corner of card: PUBLISHED AND COPYRIGHTED BY THE CHARLES E. HIRES COMPANY. "And Ruth said, intreat me not to leave thee, Or to return from following after thee: For whither thou goest, I will go; And wherre thou lodgest, I will lodge; Thy people shall be my people, And thy God my God." Ruth I-16.
