7pcs-OLD WESTERN GERMANY US ZONE Paper Mached Nativity Figurines If you love to collect OLD holiday Christmas items, this would make a great set. These pieces are light and appear to be made out of either papier -mache',(paper mache), or even mixed with a chalk substance too. Pieces are all handpainted in colorful paints, finished w/gold details. MARKED ON THE BOTTOM: MADE IN WESTERN GERMANY US ZONE. (Wish we had more pieces to this set.)
There is a kneeling Joseph (5"H), One WiseMan (6"H), One Gray Laying Donkey (3"H), Two White Sheep (2-1/4"H), One Kneeling Angel (3-1/2"H), One Tall Camel (5-1/2"H). For their age they are realitively in very good shape. Need to be cleaned up. Pieces have very minor/occasional paint chip,(which could easily be retouched.). The angel is showing signs of crazing in the paint. And as you can sadly see, the camel's legs are broken/cracked. As his back hump. See the picture the legs have wiring to hold the piece together inside, the break is clean that it could be reglued back again. Great old Nativity Manager set, great antique.
