Beautiful, elegantly made, this MADERIA hand towel that would dress up a lady's bath with elegance. Is made on a WHITE-WHITE organza material, soft and sheer. Expert stitching in the design of roses and buds. Besides the embroidery, there is cutworking, tiny tiny french knots and lace netting work. All done in white silk threading. This is the last vintage hand embroidered kitchen feedsack/cheesecloth dish towel we have. Adorable little Southern Belle Girl done in pretty pastel coloring. She is wearing an oversized wide brimmed Victorian hat with two feather plumnes at the top. Wearing an overcoat or jacket, white winter muff. Pretty pink long ruffled gown, petticoats framing her shoes. STUNNING and BEAUTIFULLY made is what you can say about this towel. In soft pastel colors of blues, pinks, brown,red and white. These lovely beauties are ever-so-popular with linen collectors. Towel MEASURES a large 35"W X 35-1/2"L. The embroidered little beauty measures 6" x 6-1/2". Material is oversized that you could even use this as a tablecloth. Or you could save her and place in frame on your wall. In fantastic shape, no tears, nor stains. Is washed clean, PRESSED, a nice soft white, medium linen/cotton material has softened thru the years.
