ROOTS - First Edition by Alex Haley
Roots - Copyright 1976 by Alex Haley - a Doubleday Book. This book is in very very good condition. The book was read one time, but it is still somewhat tight and has no broken spine or missing pages. The dust cover to this book has some yellowing, due to age, and the book itself is in excellent condition. There is a sticker on the front page of the book saying the person that it belonged. The book itself is a kahki tan color with a black spine that continues to the front and back of the book. The title of the book is on the spine in gold. This book is about the author tracing his roots back to African descent. The story was also on television in a series. I have seen this book listed from $150 up to $250. This is a great one to have.

Birds At Home by Marguerite Henry - RARE
This hardback book is beautifully illustrated book has 12 colored pages. The book was originally a library book and still has the pocket in the back with the card. The cover of this book is worn with scratches and particularly the edges. There is a child's name and a "C" on the inside front page. There is also a note on the opposite side of the first page that is dated 1949. There are several pages that have a few tears. (I have non-acidic tape and would be willing to do the repairs on the tears, if requested). The inside of the back cover had something glued into it and it has left a small amount of brown paper. This is a very beautifully illustrated book with brilliant colors and a great educational book for young children! From the research that I have done this is quite a RARE book!
