Avon - 1971 Plate - Old Fashioned Lady w/ Umbrella This plate was sent to Avon employees for a Christmas gift. Each year the plate changed in design. The 1971 plate is clear and has an etched frosted figure of an old fashioned woman with hat, purse and umbrella which is suppose to be the "First Avon Lady". This is the first of four plates in a series. The plate is in excellent condition. The plate has one very small etched dot above the hat which was done during manufacturing.

Wong Lee or William Lowe? - Decorative Plates These plates are magnificient!!! Are these plates Wong Lee or the well known William Lowe. I would say that they are Wong Lee because of the mark on the back. There is a real controversy going on about Wong Lee using the William Lowe logo. If these were William Lowe they would be worth $1,000 or more. I have two decorative plates which have holes in them so that you can hang them on the wall. It is noted on the back not to be used for food. If it were me, especially for the holidays, I would cover them in a clear wrap and serve cookies or horsdourves on them. The plates have cardinals on them with holly and raised berries. The outer rim is in 22K gold with green leaves. These plates are in excellent condition and beautiful with no chips or cracks. One plate does have a teeny dark spot, (which is shown in the pictures) which is actually in the pottery. These are beautiful plates and who knows........ one of these days you may find out that they are really William Lowe!!!

Made in a limited edition permanently closed in 1983 by Knowles and certified as a "True Rockwell Classic" by the Rockwell Society of America.Plate Number 5,182H of the only Limited Edition of "The Painter" by Norman Rockwell.
This plate has stayed wrapped inside my china cabinet for years and has never been on display. It is in perfect condition.
