100th Kentucky Derby Churchill Downs - 1875-1974 Book
This is a large paperbound book about the first 100 Kentucky Derbys and was published to coincide with the 100th Run For The Roses. The front cover is embossed in white, black and gold. This book tells a little about each of the first 100 Derby races. The very first page, which is blank, is stuck to the second page, which is blank. There are several loose pages, but I didn't even realize that until I flipped the first couple of pages. The rest of the book is in excellent condition with sharp clean edges. The back cover does has some slight yellowing. This is a great piece of HISTORY!!!!!

100th Kentucky Derby 1875-1974 - Hardback
This is a hardbound Kentucky Derby book which is a true piece of racing history. It covers the first 100 years of the Run For The Roses and was published to coincide with the 100th running of the Kentucky Derby. It has a green hardback cover which has a fabric feel. The picture on the front is smooth with some embossing. I have two of these books. They both have sharp edges and perfect pages. Each and every page is printed black on white with a gold edging. One has an inscription on the first page. The book with the inscription will be offered for $7.00 less. These are wonderful books with lots of memorabilia and history. This is a great find for the collector!!!

WHAT A PIECE OF RACING H I S T O R Y!!!!!

This hardback clothbound book is from 1949. It is in outstanding condition from front to back. What a wealth of racing history you will find! This book does have an impression on the front cover of the owner's name (which is starred out in the photos). The owners of this box have been deceased for some years. The first blank page and the next page has a penciled in "story" from the female owner of this box and about the manager of Churchill Downs. I will not reveal any of this information on the internet, for the privacy of the family. BONUS ......... This book will contain a "card that offers another copy of this book for $5.00-- which was offered back in 1949. It will also include two printed white cardboard cards with the owner's names (which have also been starred out in the photos below) that were placed on the front of the private box at Churchill Downs on Derby Day. This is a great piece of memorabilia and history!!!!!!!!!
