This wood jewelry box is made of several kinds of wood, and I am sorry I don't what, but I can describe by colors. The lid is a darker wood, maybe cherry. the box itself is a lighter color, maybe oak and the bottom is a very light color. The box has a brass hasp. There is a brass heart shaped lock inside, but there is no key. The sides of the box look like a log cabin the way it is cut. All four corners are dovetailed. The top of the box has some sratches on it and there is some other minor wear on the wood. This is a great little box with a slide hinge to open the lid. This is really a nice little vintage piece.
