This bowl is beautiful. This belonged to my grandmother, who would now have been over 110. I remember it as a youngster. The bowl is is beautiful blues, reds and gold. The knob on the top of the lid is goldtone. The knob is a little wobbly, but it is down in the hole of the lid. The cover of the lid is a double thickness of tin and the inside of the lid, bowl and bottom are gold in color. There is a tarnish spot on the inside of the bowl which you cannot feel. The base of the bottom is riveted onto the bowl and has three blue stripes around the edges. The bottom has an impressed stamp that reads Container Made in Belgium. The bowl has some teenie nicks in the finish here and there, but all in all is in good condition. |
