1201
Intricately Designed Tableware--Italy-Old-Hand-Made I'm not sure what this 'silverware' is made from but it is silver colored plating over a reddish metal. The handles are applied and there are signs these pieces were all hand made.
There are two pickle type forks that measure 5" long. These are very similar to one another but again, not exactly alike giving rise to the notion they are hand made. They are marked on the back with an impressed Italy and the word Montagnani.
The sugar type spoon has a scene in the bowl of three people picking and putting away some type of fruit on a tree. It is marked on the back of the bowl with an impressed Italy and with what appears to be a C. It measures 5".
The bon bon type of spoon has a heraldic lion at the top and a scene depicting birds in a garden. It is marked twice with an impressed Italy. It measures 5 1/4".
I'm not sure of the age of these items but they appear to be quite old. They all could use a good cleaning.

10001
Old Leather? Covered Playing Card Box w/Bridge Cards The 'leather' covering on this box is quite thin and appears to be over a thick fiber like paper. It certainly has the look and feel of leather but is perhaps a laquar type of finish made to look like leather. Even with a loop, it is hard for me to tell what this covering is for sure. The center design appears to be completely painted fiber board and the paint has worn on the high places of the design. It also shows some wear along the corners and the back where the lid opens. The interior is in very good condition. The boxes holding the cards are sturdy and in excellent condition.
The box is solidly built and weighs, with cards included, right at 1 lb. It measures 8 81/2" long by a little over 1 1/2" deep by a little of 5 1/2" wide.
The box is marked on the back in an impressed Smith-Crafted, Chicago. All in all, the box still shows well.
The cards are either bridge or canasta cards. They looked like they've never been shuffled. With them is a card that shows the scoring of both games and the original inspection paper with the #33. The cards were made by Heraclio Fournier, Vitoria and made in Spain. The date 1960.
I do not know if the box is dated from 1960 or from before or if they were purchased together.

1202
Lg. Ornate Serving Pieces-Italian-Old-Hand-Made Both these pieces measure 7 3/4" long and together weigh right at 5 oz.
I'm not sure what they're made of but they appear to be silver plated over a dark metal of some kind. Both are intricately designed and have hand applied handles and finials. There is the face of a man above the bowls and what appears to be a heraldic shield design in the bowls of both pieces.
The spoon has an impressed Italy on the back of the bowl and the fork has an impressed Italy and also the impressed name of Montagnani.

Miniature Doll? Buggie I really have no idea how old this childs size buggy is but it isn't new. I found it at an estate auction so don't know it's history.
The black top is made of canvas and the body is wicker. The wheels are wooden as is the seat and harness 'poles'. It sits on a wrought iron base. The top folds with hinges onto the back of the carriage.
The canvas has worn through in one place at the front where it curves over the metal frame and is slightly worn in places also at the top frame but the body of the canvas is in good condition. I can find no other damage. The curved harness bars don't sit square to the body of the carriage. I'm not sure if that was done in the making or if they have warped with age.
The carriage measures approximately 24"x24"x10" and would be perfect for displaying a doll or for that country corner.
It weighs approximately 5 1/2lbs. Packaged, this carriage would be considered oversize by the USPS and would cost more than the regular weight to mail.
Circa: ??
Size: 24x24x10
Type: Miniature Buggy
