This lovely old ivory colored platter has gold gilding on the scalloped edge. It measures 12" by 9 1/2". The Johnson Bros. located in Staffordshire England established their pottery in 1883. They produced earthenwares and ironstone. The mark found on the platter was first used in 1900. Very mild use marks are detectable on this fine piece of antiquity however it does not detract from its simple elegance and I would rate its overall condition as very good. |
