Bigger and nicer that the usual Victorian half-moon pin, this one test gold (below 10K), is 1 1/2 inches (about twice the size of the usual goldfilled little crescents) and beautifully crafted. Even the C clasp and hinge are gold and the clasp has a reinforcing bar. Little clover leaves in the open spaces are solid, showing on the back. Red stone may be a garnet and is set with 6 sturdy prongs.
Quality all the way.

Elegance at the opera with this dainty white goldfilled lorgnette or pinz nez on a 28 inch silver chain (possibly sterling) which splits then has a single 4 inches that holds the lorgnette with a spring ring. Magnify a little - maybe to read the program?

Lovely genuine Art Deco bracelet marked sterling, with marcasites and, I am pretty sure, real lapis. The 4 thickly cut stones measure 1/2 x 3/8 and the V spring clasp is hidden under the end setting. Excellent condition. Blue is hard to capture. It is lighter than the 1st image, darker than the closeup. Probably truest color is image of open back.

This precious little Victorian basket with woven sterling is overflowing with real amber as grapes. Even has sterling leaves and vines. It has a bail to be worn as a necklace (1 1/2 inches)but it could also star in a sterling miniature collection. Detail is amazing. See several images including closeup of amber.

This big beautiful baroque pearl might also be called a blister pearl which sounds much less beautiful. The 2 smaller pearls are for real too - one more pink, other more ivory, set in tested 14K gold. Pin has an old fashioned reverse safety clasp. Measures 1 5/8 x 1 inch. Excellent condition.

A perfect gift for the retro woman - here is a sterling, marcasite and onyx bracelet from the Art Deco period. It is excellent condition - no missing marcasites and no scratches on the stones. Measures a bit over 7 inches, including the pretty sterling V clasp.

This Victorian pin deserves a close-up look - I have never seen anything like it. First of all, the theme: a swan and seashell are unusual for Victorian times. The rose rolled gold of the seashell has beautiful detail. Now note the contrast of yellow gold under the swan; it's rough like she is paddling like crazy. The swan is nicely 3 dimesional with appled wings showing individual feathers. Alas, the swan is not sterling so some of the silver has worn off the top wing. Otherwise, very good condition. Back has fat c clasp or half tube. There is a small loop on back, under swan - I wonder if something was suppose to hang from it? Tell me if you know!

Antique necklace of sterling with marcasites is set with a beautiful and unusually large oval carnelian stone (1 1/4 x 7/8 inches). Pendant with stone is 2 inches long and 1 1/4 across. Beautifully decorative pieces holding pendant curve slightly and add nearly 1 1/2 inches to the 6 inch chain on each side. Thus total length equals 15 inches which means it hangs perfectly just below the collarbone. Excellent condition. I have replaced the inexpensive clasp with a sterling spring clasp for security's sake.

Not tested but look like gold, not gf. Beautiful onyx earrings are 1 1/2inches long and centered with a textured gold flower with real pearl center. Earrings came without findings-were porbably screwbacks-now goldfilled French hooks. Excellent condition.

This elegant pin measures 1 1/4 inch by 1 inch across and is rose gold with some filigree work that looks more like yellow gold. The leaves and flowers look hollow - see last image to see how back is finished - so it is not weighty. C clasp, excellent condition. I would guess that it is handcrafted, one of a kind.
