Beautiful sterling Art Deco pendant has a large clear square cut jewel that is more than a rhinestone but not a diamond and it has dainty triangular red stones on each side. 28 inch sterling chain is a replacement but an excellent match. Measures just short of 2 inches long and almost an inch wide with embossed bail. Excellent condition and very desirable.

Looks like it this brass revival figure should be mounted on Bakelite.
But no, and the first clue is that it is not thick enough. Then it doesn't test for Bakelite but it is from the same time period, measuring 3 1/4 x 2 1/4. Surprise! it is not a pendant but a Sew-on - maybe for a hat? But it lends it self to being a pendant also. Easy to take the chain off if you prefer it as a sew-on, related to a button.

This is a major Art Deco necklace - four 1 inch triangles and a very impressive center pendant is 2 x 1 1/4 inches - all etched deeply on both sides. 5 silver pieces are nearly an inch long and probably German silver.
Measures 14 1/2 inches, just right to rest on collar bone.

This flawless beauty is made with flexible links so the 15 inches will drape smoothly, for sure. Hooks in front too which is handy. Marked Pant. Pend. makes me wonder who was pending - maybe Whiting-Davis? The painted mesh has absolutely no damage!

Young ladies of quality (not my ancestors - they were plowing in North Dakota) in the early 1900's learned to paint as well as do needlework and some young lady did a fine job on this porcelain beauty - she even got the nose right. Oval is 2 1/4 my nearly 2 inches with 6 prongs holding it on the brass back. I think if it were removed it would have the porcelain makers stamp and maybe the signitature of the artist. Excellent condition.

Egyptian Revival shows up in this pair of Pharoh heads which started life as a belt buckle but is now featured on a black velveteen choker necklace. To nice to wear at the waist, I have added the inch wide ribbon which measures about 14 inches - just right for the average neck. However, there is plenty of ribbon overlap with a snap closing so there is room for adjustment. Brass piece is 2 1/2 inches long and a bit over l inch wide.

Sterling and marcasite earring dangle from sterling posts - total length: 1 3/4. I believe these have been made since the 1920's but they probably are not recent reproductions - too nice.
If you are looking for something to wear with other marcasite jewelry - who cares when they were made? 3r image show back, stamped 925

Click for more detail...
7714
Here's an Egyptian Revival piece straight out of the 1920's with a Sphinx in molded pale blue glass highlighted with 2 shades of green and a little black that appear to be sort of swiped on. I think the smaller figure on the right is a god (or goddess) and she is definitely holding a female fertility symbol! Antiqued brass setting measures 3 x 1 inches and glass piece is about 1 1/2 x 1. Glass seems very Czech-like to me. C clasp, Excellent condition.

This classic Deco pin is definitely not a reproduction. It is marked Sterling-Germany and has an old style safety clasp - a little arm that clips into an extended C clasp. The green opaque stone may be chrysoprase, or maybe chalcedony. A couple of marcasite have been replaced and it is in excellent condition.
