This pretty buckle looks light enough to fly with its open network and butterfly shape. 3 inches by 2 1/4, it is framed and sprinkled with petite flowers and leaves and has 2 small deep pink stones. It would make an awfully nice pin if you weren't afraid of offending purists.

Some clever and patient Victorian made this back and red adornment with dangles. You can see on the back of the circle how she stitched them together and tacked them down. The large flat beads are strung and them tacked over the thread between each bead. Excellent condition.

Bet this set was bought in a fabric store in the 30's. Very hard to photograph with the dark colors but the "button" in the center of each piece is brownish green and carved. Buckle is 4 1/4, buttons are 1 inch. The pin is 2 inches long with a 3/4 inch button. Price is for all 3 but I would be will to break up the set.

What a quaint old cape clasp! Bakelite medallion is highlighted with gold. Crochet covers the rings that attach to the cape and large balls are snap intended to be crocheted over. Smaller ball probably has a metal frame too. Very good condition.

One of the gentle arts in Victorian times was this fine wire beading of corsages. This one is about 5 x 5 inches and may have been made to wear on a coat since it is quite large but the pin back was never attached. No boo-boos and its fun to rearrange the flexible wires.

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item 8224: Plastic Sew-On Knot
Click for more detail...
8224
This plastic piece, which seems more like Bakelite than celuloid, presents a knotty problem. What is it? Yes, it has 2 rings embedded on back so obviously it is meant to be sewn on. Conclusion? It is some sort of clasp with the hook-in part missing. Maybe you can explain it! 2 inches long including hook and over 1 inch wide.
