Antique necklace of sterling with marcasites is set with a beautiful and unusually large oval carnelian stone (1 1/4 x 7/8 inches). Pendant with stone is 2 inches long and 1 1/4 across. Beautifully decorative pieces holding pendant curve slightly and add nearly 1 1/2 inches to the 6 inch chain on each side. Thus total length equals 15 inches which means it hangs perfectly just below the collarbone. Excellent condition. I have replaced the inexpensive clasp with a sterling spring clasp for security's sake. |
