This might be called a paperweight pin. It's applejuice Bakelite with a high dome that covers a 3 dimensional flower backed by carved or raised sunrays. Pin is 1 1/2 inch square and dome is at least 3/4 inches high. Back is covered with black metal disc, presumably to reflect back into the domed pin. c clasp is pegged into back and set ant an angle across one corner. Excellent condition and quite unusual. |
