Sugar plums! "Ballottini" Bead demi-parure This necklace and earring set always makes me think of sugar plums! The two strand necklace is composed of graduated dark pink beads covered with tiny glass globules named "ballottini". They are not glued but are molten (or fired)upon the surface of the bead. It looks as if it was dipped in sugar! Interspersed with the ballottini beads are purple aurora borealis and chunky lavender satin glass beads.Between each large bead are diamond shaped, red or lavender crystals accented with small gold beads. The matching clip-on earrings are set with a purple & red "a.b." rhinestones and 2 ballonttini beads that are glued on to the gold metal.<p> The necklace is adjustable with a hook clasp. It measures 18 inches (from clasp to end bead). The earrings are 1"x1" with a clip-on back.<p> Although the necklace is not marked the exquisite beads can be attributed to the "Gablonz" (Czech or Bohemian) beadmakers and was made in the 1950's.It is a magnificent example of their bead craftmanship!<p>It is in almost new condition for its age. The only visible flaw is some tarnish under the end caps of the ballottini beads.
 

Leaping Leopard enamel brooch with Rhinestones This enamel Leopard looks ferocious and ready to leap! The brooch measures 2 1/2 inches long & 1 inch wide. It is made of enamel over gold metal with a rhinestone studded collar and green rhinestone eye. It is not marked but is very realistic and good quality. It is in very good condition except there is a little spot of white showing on his rear paw. I can't tell if its a chip or just that the enamel didn't cover there. Regardless, it is not noticable when he's leaping off your lapel!
 

"Jelly" head Scottish Lass scatter pin This wee 1 1/2 inch Scottish lass has a painted, Lucite "jelly" head. I don't know if you call it that when its the head instead of belly ,but I'll call it that for lack of better words. She has a gold-tone metal body with an enamel painted "kilt" and hat. She's in great shape and ready to do the Highland fling!
 

Pearl "Peas in the Pod" Brooch This elegant pin consists of one large and four smaller, cultered pearls in a gold-plated pod. It is in like new condition with the exception of a small spot on the backside of the stem. It looks as if it was done to test for gold. This is a great accent piece, its whimsical yet elegant, and looks good on everything.

Lovely Hand Carved Shell Cameo Necklace This Cameo pendant has a very detailed, hand carved Mother of pearl cameo surrounded by silvertone metal marchasites. The lovely lady has a spray of flowers through her hair and is holding a bouquet. The 2 inch oval pendant is suspended from a 20 inch silvertone chain. It is not marked and it appears to be new or modern as there are no signs of it ever being worn. Regardless this lovely Cameo would make a wonderful addition to your collection! Unfortunately the shell was hard to photograph but it is trully lovely!
 

Shamrock with Rhinestone Earrings These are "lucky shamrock" clip-on earrings. They are gold-tone metal disks embossed with a shamrock with a light green rhinesone center. They are in good wearable condition, just right for "the wearing of the green" or any time you need a little luck!
 

Green & Blue Rhinestone Clip-on Earrings This is a lovely pair of goldtone earrings with 2 emerald green and 1 aqua blue rhinestones set in a swirling leaf pattern. They are spring lever clip-ons. They are in like new condition. Although they are not signed they are very nice quality.
 

Green Rhinestone & Aurora Borealis Brooch This brooch has a light green, diamond cut rhinestone at the center surrounded by 9 small Aurora Borealis stones and 8 pear shaped rhinestones, that are a shade darker green. They have an A.B. stone between each and are angled to make the brooch look like a flower.All rhinestones are prong-set with thick metal? backing. The brooch measures 1 1/2 in diameter. It is in like new condition with no signs of ever being worn. Although this is not signed, the quality of the rhinestones and the superb craftsmanship are reminiscent of "paste jewels" made by Swarovski in the mid 1950's.
