This necklace illustrates the labor intensive twisting and weaving of fine wire for which the Hobe company was famous. It consists of small rounded amber beads on hand-worked wire chain with clusters of hand wired glass? tube beads in groups of four. It measures 28 inches from end to end.It is adjustable with a simple hook clasp. The necklace has never been worn and still has its original "Hobe" hang tag with the design? number: RJ12 ML. I of course do not wish to deceive you, and I am almost certain that the round beads are amber because of there irregularities and inclusions, but because of their size I cannot do my usual tests. I have priced the necklace so that it won't matter what its made of and someone might get a great buy! |
