Fun 1930's Red PLASTIC Coils Wraparound Bangle Bracelet This happy coiled bangle bracelet is made of bright red plastic spirals wound around a hidden core of memory wire and finished with enameled end-caps. The 1930’s era novelty is 1" wide where the two ends overlap (which can be done on a wrist up to 6 1/4"). The width of three coils is about ¾" and can be worn on almost all sizes wrists.

The bracelet naturally flexes to accommodate a wrist of any size. The condition is superb! Try this with vintage plastics or enameled pieces for a unique coordinating jewelry ensemble!

Vintage French Striped LUCITE Beads Necklace This elegant strand of chunky striped Lucite acrylic beads has a very French look (laminated Lucite was popularized by Lea Stein) and alternates cream and café au lait bands for an accessory that can be worn with nearly any color.

The necklace is 20 ¾" long and each of the larger oval beads is 13/16" wide. The spacers are pure cream white as is the sleek screw-barrel closure. This type of acrylic and the clasp style are more commonly found with European jewelry. The necklace is in great condition and lends an air of platsique chic to your neckline.

Darling 1930's Butterscotch BAKELITE Carved Bow Pendant Necklace This dainty yet solid vintage carved butterscotch Bakelite pendant is 1 ¼" high and 1 ¼" wide. This sweet bow has a personality with slightly asymmetrical top loops and ruffled tails.

A silver-plated bail allows the bow to slide along the 18" silver-plated oval link chain which closes with a spring-ring clasp. The bow tests positively as Bakelite and the necklace is in superb condition. This is a darling pendant that looks great with vintage Bakelite, modern plastics, and silver jewelry too!

Whimsical 1930's Plastic, Brass & Cord ELEPHANT & TUSK Pin The color and style of this 1930’s period novelty pin make it a cheery whimsy: the lime green plastic tusk is capped in brass and wrapped with a cord from which swings a cute little elephant. The tusk is 1 ¾" wide and the total height is 2". The 3-D elephant stands with her tusk up for good luck.

The pin has C-clasp and is in super condition. This fun pin has jungle chic in a lighthearted, multi-media style!

French ART DECO C1925 Pearlized CELLULOID Flapper Pin with Rhinestones Take buttery pearlized celluloid, sparkling topaz rhinestones, and the hand of a talented artist and you may be lucky enough to mix up a magic Flapper brooch with the spirit of the Roaring Twenties as we have here. This circa 1925 pin measures 2" high by 1 5/8" wide. The slightly domed design has a geometric top layer of pale gold yellow set off by two topaz glass chatons in each corner.

The pretty young thing’s portrait was carefully and cleanly captured in flesh tone, black, and fire-engine red. Her chic beret is accented with a black bow and three crystal chatons. The back of the brooch has a C-clasp pin affixed with two round pads. This fabulous piece, most likely French, is in excellent condition.

This carefree continental bijoux can be worn the expected way or try it on a slim ribbon tied the neck or a thicker version draped in a V with the pin serving as a pendant.

Vintage Root Beer / Tortoise BAKELITE Beads & Celluloid Links Bracelet This fun 1960’s period bracelet has a very contemporary look thanks to the mixed shapes and media: caramel celluloid spiral links, textured gold-plated links and caps, and large root beer (or tortoise shell) Bakelite beads. The bracelet is 7 ¾" long, the celluloid links are ¾" wide, and the pillow-form Bakelite beads are 9/16" wide.

The bracelet has a large tortoise Bakelite bead fob with a mottled amber, baroque bead above. This charm drop hangs to a length of 1 3/8" below the bracelet. The fold-over clasp has a textured top that compliments the diamond patterned stamped into the oxidized metal links and the bead caps. The rootbeer beads do test positive as Bakelite. This plastic fantastic bracelet is in wonderful condition and proof that it all comes back around!

MARVELLA Vintage Orange BAKELITE Fruits Brooch This Marvella fantasy fruit brooch features juicy fruits of swirled orange Bakelite among golden leaves. The brooch is 3 1/8" long and about 2 ¼" wide. Each orange is 5/8" or ¾" in diameter. The orange is intense and lightly swirled with bright yellow--Valencia oranges, maybe?
The leaves and stems are textured and have an even gold-plated finish. The back of the brooch has a safety clasp and is cast with the Marvella signature on the bottom leaf. This mixed-materials brooch is in excellent condition and is as elegant and fanciful as Bakelite can be.

Deeply Carved Vintage BAKELITE Tropical Fruit & Leaves Dress Clip This thick, deeply carved 1930’s butterscotch Bakelite dress clip reminds me of the lush tropical foliage and fruits in old bark cloth with its variety of overlapping leaves topped by a cross-hatched fruit or nut. The clip measures 2 ¼" high by ½" thick. The clip back has small teeth on the underside for a secure grip. Darling Plastic SNOWMAN Pin with Working THERMOMETER--Like New Cond! This jolly snowman is so cute and with his fully functional thermometer he’s ready for travel through ice storm or sand storm (picture him on a cotton tank top at the beach!) The circa 1950 plastic figure is just under 2 ¼" tall and is 1" wide. His face, top hat, pipe, and broom are painted in bright hues.

The thermometer is mounted securely on a gold foil paper-board plaque. Watch the temp change as you go from outside to inside! The pin shaft secures with a hook catch. Mr. Snowman is in wonderful condition and will certainly start warm conversations wherever you and he travel!

1920's DECO Carved CELLULOID Fish Pendant & Ribbon SLIDER Necklace The 1920’s celluloid pendant of this slider necklace of mottled green tones was made to simulate the Asian jade so popular at the time. It was hand-carved with a fish in an underwater seascape to enhance the Japanese aesthetic. The pendant measures 2 ½" wide by 1 5/8" high. The fish is head-down with her tail curled an rising above to form an open circle. The scales, eyes and mouth are realistically carved. The background of horizontal broken waves is overlaid with seaweed fronts.

A black grosgrain ribbon, about 29 ½" in length and5/16" in width, can be adjusted with the box slider: use it to create a long tail for the pendant, a shorter tail or to wear the pendant closer to the neckline (slip the ribbon on with slider behind your neck and pull iti closer to you). The condition is quite fine all around, no breaks or chips on the pendant or slider and no wear visible on the ribbon.

A period slider necklace is always a rare treat and the handwork of this Art Deco period celluloid find sets it apart from all the other fish in the jeweled sea.

1940's LUCITE & WOOD Large Carved Dancing Starfish Pin This 1940’s era starfish pin combines crystal Lucite with stained wood for a natural-but-enhanced taste of the sea. The dancing sea creature is 3" wide, 2 ¾" high and 5/8" deep. The wood is hand-carved and the Lucite is also hand=carved and polished like glass. There is a small white speck on the front on the right inside leg; it appears to be inside the Lucite. There are no cracks or chips in either the Lucite or the wood layers.

The pin has a simple c-clasp. This fanciful, five-legged fish looks very chic on white (but she was too playful and would not cooperate with me!) and really stands out on colors. Any season, try the Seaside Salsa with your sassy starfish pin!

1930's Thick Carved Black BAKELITE Jeweled Floral Dress Clip Pin This deeply carved, thick black Bakelite dress clip has a lush floral design that, in the spirit of the time, has been jazzed up with cut glass rhinestones. The clip measures 2" high, 1 ½" wide, and ½" thick.

The carving is very sharp and deep with a swooping, asymmetric leaf separating the two blossoms and adding a dramatic element which is further accented by small ruby red rhinestones. Each flower has its own personality and style and is also set with a larger crystal rhinestone. These jewels, although not original to the piece, add color and a splash of glitter.

The clip mechanism has a reliable spring and tiny teeth for a firm grip. I love to wear clips as pendants and this one has such an elegant look and bold size that it’s just perfect! The clip tests quite positive as Bakelite and it‘s in wonderful condition.

Vintage Hanging BAKELITE Heart Perfume Bottle with Moonglow Lucite Dot This vintage carved butterscotch Bakelite heart is actually a miniature perfume bottle! The 1" high bottle has marbled colors (some variance will occur in each of the several I have in stock). It is topped with a Lucite acrylic disk in a misty pearlized fog gray.

The heart tests positive as Bakelite and the brass screw stopper is fully functional—all the way down to the bulbous dabber end! The perfume well is about the width of the thick part of the stopper.

This is a vintage piece from unsold stock and is in excellent condition.
