Click for more detail...

Huge 1940's CINER Retro Sterling Silver & Simulated Amethyst Ring The Retro styling, the durable sterling silver setting, and the massive amethyst glass stone—just the color and clarity you’d want in a real gem—make this vintage CINER ring a stand-out. CINER is a name that has been associated with fine jewelry since 1892 and this 1940’s ring is an example of their "costume" line that has kept the name ultra collectible to this day.

The rounded rectangular or modified Ceylon cut stone is 7/8" or 22mm high by 11/16" or 18mm wide and has a deep basket setting with protective prongs on each corner. The band is size 7 and is signed "CINER" and "Sterling."

The condition is wonderful with only light surface wear to the silver. The glass jewel is in superb condition. And it’s truly a substantial stone that can been seen from across the room—perhaps across a ballroom! I see no reason to tell anyone it is not "real" if they ask—it is real CINER and real quality jewelry, after all!

This is a specially priced estate consignment item and does not qualify for further store discount, however, most store items do. New pieces arrive each day so please take time for a browse!

ART DECO 1920's CZECHOSLOVAKIA Faceted Blue Glass Drop Earrings Czechoslovakia glass and rhinestones will dazzle your admirers in these period Art Deco drop earrings. Each earring is 1 ¾" long and 1/2" wide. The transparent cornflower blue facetted octagonal stones are bezel-set in mountings that have pierced sides to allow light to pass through and enhance the color. The upright bars taper in at the top; they hold two crystal rhinestones; the top one is bezel-set. At the top are bezel-set rhinestones on the front of a screw findings; they are signed "Czecho*Slov" around the round thumb pieces.

The rhinestones are sparkling; the bezel-set ones appear darker than the lower ones on the tapered bar. The blue stones are in wonderful condition with no chips or scratches. The articulated design and longer size add elegance to these Flapper era pendant drop earrings which will undoubtedly always be stylish.

Click for more detail...

KENNETH JAY LANE 1982 Sophisticated Lady Faux Lapis & Ram Heads Necklace Always inspired by the best in genuine jewels, Kenneth Jay Lane has captured the look of fine lapis and gold in this double strand clasped with gold-plated rams heads set with rhinestones and simulated emeralds. The longer strand of resin beads is 32 ¼" and the shorter is 30". The 10mm beads are a lustrous navy blue with tiny light flecks to simulate lapis; they are interspersed with gold-plated melon-lobed spacers.

The brilliant ram heads face each other and are set with crystal chatons on the horns and emerald chatons on the eyes. The hinged clasp on the underside is invisible so you can place the rams on the side of the bodice for an elegant decorative effect. The length of the beads may also allow you to double them for a choker effect based on your neck size.

The "K.J.L. for Avon" signature plaque is on the clasp. This necklace was part of a 1982 line called set was called "Sophisticated Lady" and is in excellent condition.

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item Lea_Stein_Stretch_Limo_Pin: Old Stock LEA STEIN Paris Stretch Limousine Pin with Original Paper Label
Click for more detail...

Old Stock LEA STEIN Paris Stretch Limousine Pin with Original Paper Label "Chauffeur, please ready the limousine for our soiree’," may be the words you’d utter were you lucky enough to own a real version of this Lea Stein stretch limousine pin. The vintage laminated cellulose acetate model shown here is made of luminous gray pearl with opaque black running boards and fenders and bombe’ wheels in tones of gray, black and white. The limo is 2 3 /4" long and 7/8" high. The windows are open and the door and "speed lines" are impressed into the molded body.

The safety clasp pin is permanently affixed and is embossed "Lea Stein, Paris." The original paper "Made in France" label is attached too. This vintage vehicle is old stock in excellent, unworn condition.

Ms. Stein’s style has become instantly recognizable since the late 1960’s when she first heat-laminated cellulose acetate in layers of color to create simple yet graphically strong jewelry with a strong Art Deco flavor. These old-stock designs are no longer produced so their availability shrinks each year thus a special find like this is always to be appreciated.

This is a specially priced estate consignment item and does not qualify for further store discount, however, most store items do. New pieces arrive each day so please take time for a browse!.

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item Czecho_Gr_Glass_Deco_Set: CZECHO 1920's Art Deco Foiled Glass Skyscraper Step-Cut Necklace & Bracelet SET
Click for more detail...

CZECHO 1920's Art Deco Foiled Glass Skyscraper Step-Cut Necklace & Bracelet SET I gasped when I saw this vintage Art Deco "skyscraper" necklace and bracelet—I’ve never found a matched pair of this Czechoslovakia geometric glass jewelry before! Both are in wonderful condition with no chips to the glass and no missing prongs, totally wearable and wonderful!

The necklace is 15 ½" long and ½" deep at the center. Nine faceted and foiled, step-cut emerald green glass tablets compose the center section; each is securely held by stamped, silver-plated trefoil prongs. The side sections have facetted baguette foiled glass panels held by pointed prongs. All the glass panels are supported by silver-plated brass metal backings.

The bracelet is 7 ¾"long and ½" wide and links the step-cut panels top-to-bottom continuously around the wrist. Again, each panel is securely backed with a metal plate.

There is some minor speckling on the foiling of some of the glass tablets as is typically found on pieces of this age; none of the glass tablets has any chips or breaks. (The dark spots you see on the middle of the side panels of the tablets on the necklace are reflections of the side trefoil prongs.) Silver plating is pretty good overall with the more worn spots on the reverse and the end rings themselves which are both stamped with a raised "CZECHOSLOV" using a backwards "S." The bracelet and necklace each have new silver-plated spring-ring clasps as the originals had lost their spring. Such period Art Deco pieces from Czechoslovakia are rarely found and in pairs, this is a double delight!

This is a specially priced estate consignment item and does not qualify for further store discount, however, most store items do. New pieces arrive each day so please take time for a browse!

Click for more detail...

Vintage Spain DAMASCENE Set: Gondola Pin, Drop Earrings, Faux Pearl Pendant Neckla This vintage Spanish Damascene enamel set has more pieces than I’ve encountered before: a figural gondola pin, drop pendant earrings, and a capped faux pearl pendant necklace.

The pin is 2" wide and 1 ¼" high. With layers of dimension, you are taken back to a more elegant time when the gondolier wore an embellished uniform and his lady passenger in fancy dress held a parasol overhead and wore a showy bonnet. The silver and black damascene decoration so popular in this traditional Spanish jewelry technique is rendered on a brightly gold-plated body. (Its finish is slightly brighter than that of the other pieces.) The back of the gondola has a safety clasp and is stamped "Spain.

The lever-back pierced earrings are 1 3/8" in total length and have open centers enhanced by black enamel scrolls and tiny beaded accents highlighted in silver. Each is stamped "Spain" on the reverse.

The faux-pearl pendant is ¾" long and has a four-point cap with damascene designs. The gold-plated chain is 17 ½" long and has a spring-ring clasp.

All pieces are in fine condition and this full set allows you to mix and match to create a number of accessorizing options! This type of enamel is sometimes called Toledo Ware; it is always a conversation starter!

Click for more detail...

Vintage West Germany Faceted Jet Black Glass Graduated Beads Necklace Pure opaque black glass was facetted into beads of varying sizes in this vintage West Germany necklace. The strand is 12 ½" long without the extender and hook which bring the total wearable length to 15 ½".
The facetted beads have irregular faces which are sometimes found on these older European makes; there are a few very tiny nicks only visible upon very close inspection. Smaller black seed beads allow the strand to move comfortably around the neckline. The silver tone hook clasp is stamped "West Germany." This circa 1950 necklace is in fine condition.

Vintage VAN DELL Sterling & Rhinestone Flower Drop Pendant Necklace Sparkle and sterling shine unite in a refined and elegant pendant from Van Dell. This flower form pendant is 1 ½" long including the Y bail set with marquises rhinestones. The flower itself is set with alternating marquise and chatons with one larger chaton in the center; the width of the flower is 11/16".
Each strand of sterling rolo link chain is about 7" long including the oval links set with rhinestones near the pendant so the total interior length of the necklace is 14 ½". The stone settings and chain are rhodium-plated so they will remain bright and tarnish-free. All the stones are brilliant with no darkening or yellowing. The spring-ring clasp is stamped "Sterling" and the back of the flower is signed "Van Dell Sterling." This lovely mid 20th century necklace is in super condition.

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item Moinies_Ebony_Wood_Bracelet: Gerda Lynggaard MONIES Ebony Wood Panels Wide Stretch Bracelet
Click for more detail...

Gerda Lynggaard MONIES Ebony Wood Panels Wide Stretch Bracelet This vintage carved ebony wood stretch bracelet came from the collection of woman who traveled extensively in Europe and Africa and purchased finely hand-crafted jewelry on both continents made of natural materials, by makers such as Monies. Although this piece is not signed, another necklace from her collection in my shop is and the style is very much in keeping with that of Gerda Lynggaard. (Her earlier pieces were not signed and some had only paper labels.)

The bangle is 2 1/12" wide and has an inner diameter when in a circle shape of 2 3/8" –of course, it will contour to the wrist and that means in a flatter profile it will be over 2 ½". The triangular wood tablets are each smoothly polished inside and out yet the grain is visible.

The color is consistently very dark, espresso brown throughout and the ebony tablets are strung on two bands of transparent brown stretch resin to match. The bracelet is bold yet not heavy on the arm and is in wonderful condition. And be certain—you will get noticed wearing this!

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item Coro_Egyptian_Pharaoh_Bib_Earrings: 1960's CORO Egyptian Pharaoh Coins & Sphinx Bib Necklace & Drop Earrings
Click for more detail...

1960's CORO Egyptian Pharaoh Coins & Sphinx Bib Necklace & Drop Earrings If Cleopatra had been seeking a head-turning look in the 1960’s, this Coro bib and earring set would have been summoned to her royal chambers: gold-plated coins depicting a pharaoh on a throne being served by a minion sway back and forth beneath a bib made of long beads and novelty chains. Matching coin earrings complete the look!

The bib is 2 ¼" deep and is made of sable brown Lucite acrylic beads with gold foil inclusions alternating with ribbed golden metal cylinders. These beads are ring-linked between two strands of different kinds of long-short chains that meet at chain connectors in the form of Sphinx faces. These are 1" high and connect to the chain extender and hook clasp. The maximum wearable length is 19 ¼".

The earrings are 1 3/16" high from top to bottom and have lightweight adjustable screw findings.

I believe this set was made by Coro as this type of chain extender terminal is a trademark for them. The condition of the set is very fine. Of course, the challenge was in photographing this fabulous piece as it’s meant to be worn and be in constant movement so laying it flat does not do it justice. But I hope you can imagine the visual and aural impact of the coins sliding and tinkling and the glittering beads reflecting outward. (I tried shooting on white but all the gold just made for a washed out bright image!) And imagine the envying looks you’ll receive when you slip on this regally rich Egyptian style set!

Click for more detail...

TRIFARI Meteor 1949 Alfred Philippe Rhinestone Necklace & Earrings This Trifari "Meteor" design has sprays of fiery rhinestones trailing from furled ribbons. The gold-plated set includes a contoured necklace, 15 ¼" in length, with a central ornament measuring 2 ¾" by 1". Crystal rhinestone baguettes spring gracefully from a cone on one side and are wrapped by the ribbon which ends in a curl on the opposite side.

The matching earrings measure 1 ½" long by 5/8" wide and are actually articulated—the baguette sprays swing when you move! The clips are wide and comfy and stamped "Pat. Pend. Trifari" on the uprights. The set is in wonderful condition and has no dull stones.

This splendid Alfred Philippe design was patented in September 1949 (it is marked Pat. Pend on the necklace so this exact set was likely made prior to that date). The quality and ingenuity we adore in Trifari will light up your face each time you wear this stellar set.
