Click for more detail...
Sentimental Victorian G.F. Fede or Mizpah Clasped Hands Finger Ring This antique rose gold-filled ring with a design of clasped hands is referred to as Mizpah or Fede (faith) and symbolizes the love and closeness of partners or family members. The ring is 5/16" wide at the center front; each hand ends in a buttoned shirt cuff and jacket hem. The size is size 9 – a rare find in antique jewelry which usually runs small. (The thin silver band at the back suggests the ring was resized.) Except at the back seams, finish throughout is gold with very thin surface scuffs. Whether as a gift exchanged by lovers or family members, the fede ring carries a deep message of connection and caring across the miles.

Click for more detail...
Dainty Victorian G.F. Hinged Bangle with Rose Gold Lucky Clovers This fabulous Victorian gold-filled bangle bracelet is adorned on the front with rose gold finish clovers and dots that resemble the intricate iron gates of the late 19th century. The double-walled bangle measures ½" wide, 1/8" thick, and has an inner width across the oval of 2". The clover plants alternate with rope-twist lozenge shapes. Tiny rose-tone bosses (little domes) punch up the design. Both sides have exquisite thin rope-twist borders. The soft surface is bloomed (not shiny) as this was a popular technique in the day; the back is plain

The bracelet has a very-secure two-prong push clasp that you release by pressing the tabs above and below the opening. A 4" gold-filled chain is attached for safety. (It does not have a spring-ring clasp but I will be glad to add one and adjust the chain if you desire). There is one very slight indent on the back and one on the front. There are easily overlooked in the matte bloomed finish. The bangle is gold-filled yet the only change in color is the inner edge’s thin seam so it has the appearance of solid gold. If you prefer the true antiques of Queen Victoria’s time and you have a dainty wrist, this clover bangle could be your lucky find!

Click for more detail...
C1880 Victorian Gold-Filled Double Locket Necklace with Multicolor Enamel This circa 1880 Victorian rose gold-filled locket has an unusually vibrant and colorful enamel design on the front and a most delicate floral pattern on the back—not a single millimeter of either side is left unadorned. The locket itself measures 1 1/8" high (including bale) by 9/16" wide by 1/4" deep. The front and back have a llight rose hue; the side panels are smooth and not rose but brass yellow in tone. The enamels are in deep shades of turquoise, red, and black on the stippled background. The interior holds two ¾" by ½" photos beneath the frames and celluloid protectors. The original orchid quilted-paper inserts are on each side (the right one has larger water spot). The locket clasp and the photo frames snap in place securely. The locket comes with a 15 ½" long twisted, yellow gold-filled, fancy-link necklace with spring-ring clasp; the tag ring is stamped "1/20 12KGF" with a hallmark. (I can easily switch this for a longer or simpler chain if desired.) I think a black or blue ribbon would be stunning too as either would compliment the colors of the enamel. This antique locket is in wonderful condition which is especially rare considering the fineness of detail and the enamel. It will surely become a treasured keepsake.

Click for more detail...
Exquisite Antique 12K Gold-Filled & Bohemian Rose-Cut Garnet Drop Earrings I adore garnets! Here, their saturated color is facetted as rose cuts set in elegant drop earrings. These circa 1900 12K gold-filled earrings are bead-set with rose-cut Almandine garnets encircling a pear-shaped center stone. Each earrings is 1" long (and the front is all garnet, the fittings are completely concealed behind!) and almost ½" wide. The color is the most desirable dark red with a hint of purple—just luscious! Not so dark that you can’t tell you are looking at garnets and clearly with a purple hue to the pear stones. (Image of the back-lit earring is dark but shows the underlying tone.) The adjustable screw fittings are comfy and understated so from the front you appear to be wearing pierced earrings.

These beauties are not marked but have been tested as 12K gold-filled (though due to the thick plating, they appear solid gold in some test situations). The earrings are in wonderful condition and are so flattering in shape and color on any woman.

(This item can be purchased on layaway, just drop me a line for details!)

Click for more detail...
C1890 ARTS & CRAFTS Sterling Bar Pin with Large Faceted AMETHYST This circa 1890 sterling bar pin balances tapering spirals of silver on either side of a large faceted amethyst gemstone. The pin measures 2 3/8" wide and 11/16" high. The pale lilac amethyst has an approximate weight of 7.6 carats and no eye-visible inclusions. The soft shade makes the pin a near-neutral jewel and the unique design—reminiscent of the popular Victorian entwined snakes love motif-- lends an almost Celtic feeling. The pin shaft secures with a C-clasp. This poetic antique bar pin is in excellent condition.

Click for more detail...
Victorian 14K Rose Goldl & Pearl Pinwheel Flower Pin This circa 1880 Victorian 14K gold pin has a light-hearted design of a pinwheel or open flower whose petals are set with natural half-pearls. The pinwheel is 1" in diameter and has a rosy hue (sometimes called pink gold) contrasted by a 4mm genuine pearl. The pin shaft is silver, the clasp is a rose-gold C shape. There are no markings on the piece (as was typical of many pieces of jewelry in the period, especially if they were made domestically) yet the piece tests as 14K gold purity. This perky pinwheel is in very fine condition and is an eternally elegant form.

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item Etruscan_GF_Bypass_Balls_Bracelet: Delightful Feminine C1865 Etruscan Revival 2-Color G.F. Bypass Bangle Bracelet
Click for more detail...
Delightful Feminine C1865 Etruscan Revival 2-Color G.F. Bypass Bangle Bracelet I am always thrilled when I come upon a Victorian Etruscan Revival piece—they are so evocative of the era and so ultimately feminine. This example is gold-filled and has two distinct color finishes of yellow and rose or pink. The front of the bangle is ¾" wide and the inner diameter when fully closed is 2" but it can be adjusted up to about 2 ¼" and the back ends still overlap. Yes, it’s on the smaller side but those with smaller wrists will appreciate a good fit. Front and center is an upright rose-color hinging "bobbin" which is hugged by two engraved yellow leaves. The leaves are attached to the rose arms, tubular forms with ball ends. The yellow gold color Etruscan metalworking is well represented here in applied wire-twist forms and minute balls.

Amazingly, I don’t see one single ornament missing. The finish on the bangle is in wonderful condition too; I have not polished it in order to preserve the antique appearance. The hinge simply opens and closes manually, no spring, so you can adjust it to just the width you want. I am very impressed with the look and condition and I’m sure you will be too!

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item Victorian_14K_Carved_Coral_Roses_Neck: Superb C1880 High Victorian 14K Gold & Carved Coral Festoon Garland Necklace
Click for more detail...
Superb C1880 High Victorian 14K Gold & Carved Coral Festoon Garland Necklace This exceptional circa 1880 High Victorian 14K gold festoon or garland necklace is adorned with four hand-carved natural coral rosebuds. The necklace boasts three multi-tier pendants of gold circles with fluted centers and fine wire-work scroll borders. Each is hung with a polished terminal of gold in the shape of capped marquise. A rosebud in the center of each of these circles compliments the natural pinkish hue of the gold. These roses are set on steel studs, not merely applied with an adhesive. The scrolls and applied wreaths are yellow gold. The central circular pendant is topped with an ornately stamped surmount which is fitted with more wire-work scrolls, two terminals, and a large full-bloom coral rose in the center. A network of fine gold chains joins the three pendants in a most elegant fashion. I have taken extra close-ups so that you many enjoy the details in this marvelous piece.

The inner length of the necklace is 14 ½" and the central pendant falls about 2 5/8" below the chain. The pendant closes with a spring-ring clasp stamped 14K and the pendants themselves test positive as 14K gold in purity. The circa 1880 necklace is in wonderful condition with no damage and no repairs. I have not polished it. Truly, it is not often one comes upon a delightful feminine garland necklace like this and the rosebuds give it all the more charm. This is worthy of the label "heirloom."

Superb EDWARDIAN Sterling Guilloche Enamel Sash Pin in Lilac & White This exquisitely detailed Edwardian sterling guilloche’ sash buckle brooch is crisply enameled in soft lilac and white. The 3" wide oval displays several patterns on the engine-turned base: floating ovals, fan-shaped palmettes, and parallel ribs. The clever design even includes the clasp tongue, in silver, which is soldered on the left end only to allow your garment’s fabric to show directly beneath. The back of the sash brooch is gilt gold on "Sterling" as marked. (I polished it lightly so as not to disturb the gilding.) The pin shaft secures with a C-clasp. This circa 1910 enameled beauty has impressive size, the quality is superb, the condition perfect.
