Exquisite BOHEMIAN Rose-Cut GARNET Tear Drop Earrings Do you adore fine, old Bohemian red garnets? Here, their saturated color is featured in elegant drop earrings. These circa 1920 earrings are bead-set with rose-cut Almandine garnets encircling a pear-shaped center stone.
Each earrings is 1" long (and the front is all garnet, the fittings are completely concealed behind!) and almost ½" wide. The color is the most desirable dark red with a hint of purple—just luscious! Not so dark that you can’t tell you are looking at garnets and clearly with a purple hue to the pear stones. (Image of the back-lit earring is dark but shows the underlying tone.) The adjustable screw fittings are comfy and understated so from the front you appear to be wearing pierced earrings.

These beauties are not marked but have tested slightly lower than 10K gold, thus, they may be European as 8K and 9K gold standards were used there in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The earrings are in superb condition and are so flattering in shape and color on any woman.

These earrings can be purchased on layaway, just drop me a line!

Click for more detail...

C1915 Edwardian - Art Deco Filigree & Peking Glass Drops Filigree Links Necklace This circa 1915 rhodium-plated confection has the intricate lace-like settings associated with Edwardian fine jewelry yet incorporates the color and larger scale seen in early European Art Deco designs. The necklace measures 15 ¼" long; each filigree link is 1 ½" long and 5/8" deep and the depth from the top of a filigree link to the tip of a diamond-form glass drop is ¾".

The filigree links have superb, crisp stamping with very fine beaded and geometric detail that you need to be right on top of to appreciate. The rhodium plating assures a bright finish and simulates fine jewelry The Peking glass cabochons and pillow-top, diamond-form stones simulate the best jade in mottled tones.

The necklace has a novelty chain with a spring-ring clasp. Condition is wonderful and the look is moneyed elegance from the early 20th century!

Click for more detail...

VICTORIAN Etruscan Revival Grape Leaves & Paste 2-Color GF Double Locket This circa 1880 two-tone gold- filled double locket has an ornate lid decorated with leaves and a beautiful blue paste jewel rimmed with Etruscan Revival bead- and wire-work. The locket is 1 ½" not including the ring above nor the hanging bail; width is 1 1/8" and depth is 5/8".

The grape leaves have stippled surfaces and alternate rose or pink gold finish with yellow finish. In the center is a tanzanite lavender-blue color "grape" facetted prong-set crystal. These leaves lay on a bloomed gold surface surrounded by a raised, smooth rose gold border. The locket’s perimeter is an Etruscan Revival border of beaded wire scallops in yellow gold finish with rose gold raised circles. Such intricacy elevates the locket to a real artwork.

The side hinge opens 90 degrees. Both compartments have their original glass covers which are securely mounted in gold-filled frames, easily accessible thru notches in the bottom of the locket panels: no more chipped nails! I have not polished the locket, I prefer original patina in antique jewelry. Condition is very fine with no damage and only very light surface wear.

The period rolo link gold-filled or rolled gold chain is 24" with a spring-ring clasp and is in lovely condition.

This Victorian locket is truly beautiful and is worthy of being a family heirloom, any woman would be proud to wear this.

Click for more detail...

C1900 ART NOUVEAU 10K Gold & Sapphire Paste Pendant Lavaliere Necklace This antique Art Nouveau pendant or lavaliere, to use the parlance of Belle Epoque Paris, is made of 10K yellow gold and set with a facetted simulated sapphire paste crystal in the most brilliant and riveting blue—the hue you wish genuine sapphire would be. The sensuous pendant is 7/8" long and with the bail included it’s just over 1". The width at the "whiplash" curves of the shoulder of the body is just under ½". The linear design has a peaked center topped by the bezel-set round paste which really jumps out at you due to the saturation of that gorgeous blue color.

The back of the pendant has a partial 10K stamp and I have tested it twice, to confirm the gold purity. The 18" long chain is vintage but newer, and is also 10K gold with an easy-to-use tab and spring-ring clasp. This circa 1900 antique necklace is in excellent condition and clearly shows us why this beloved and feminine Art Nouveau style has never gone out of favor

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item Wide_Gold-Filled_Monogram_Panel_Bangle: WIDE, Etched Vintage Gold-Filled Bangle with Ideal Monogram Panel
Click for more detail...

WIDE, Etched Vintage Gold-Filled Bangle with Ideal Monogram Panel This mid-century gold-filled bangle has exceptional size and brilliance plus its monogram panel is pristine—ideal for engraving! The width is ¾" and the inner diameter across the width is 2 3/8". The front has finely engraved leaves one each side of that diamond-shaped blank panel and the back is plain. I hope the photos allow you to see the details of the engraving—the polished finish was so bright on white it was hard not to wash everything out yet on black the fine criss-cross lines on those leaves and the scalloped edges of the diamond were nearly lost.

The bangle has a super secure push-button clasp and is stamped "1/20 12K G.F" on the inside. The condition is very fine with no damage. If you like gold, this has it in bright, big dimensions and can be personalized to suit only you!

Click for more detail...

Antique Rich Green Jade / Jadeite Carved & Pierced Peach Pin in Gold Mount This intriguing antique carved and pierced jadeite or nephrite gemstone plaque features a design of plump fruits nestled in foliage. The tablet is set in a 14K gold bezel mounting with double borders of twisted wire and measures 1 5/16" wide by 7/8" high. The color of the jade is a saturated medium green with areas of lighter mottling. The fruits resemble peaches; all fruits in Chinese & Japanese culture symbolize prosperity.

From the reverse a diagonal natural fissure in the stone is visible in the center but when held to the light is not visible from the front. There are two thin bands of carving near the edge which are not continuous and can be seen from the front and back. However, the plaque within is stable within the frame and there is no movement of any part. The brooch has a silver-color pin secured with a safety clasp. The frame is not marked but tests as 14K gold; the wire edges do not test as high (often, lower karat wires are used for these trims). The bezel’s crimped border follows the contours of the jadeite plaque and holds it securely. The color and natural inclusions in the carving are very rich and the piercings enhance the fruit motif.
