Unusual Vintage Polished Onyx & Jewel Pendant Necklace, GF Bow Bale, Orig. Box
This vintage gold-filled pendant uses a pretty bow and leaf bale to suspend a polished convex onyx oval set in a gold-filled bezel mounting with a jeweled center. The bow is 1 1/8" wide and the onyx oval is 5/8" high; the total height from the top of the bow to the bottom of the pendant is 1 5/8".
A satin finish on the top portion of the bow’s loops is contrasted by brightly polished edges; the leaf is satin-finished. The crystal (or clear gem) in the pendant is set open-back within a rhodium or silver diamond frame. The back of the pendant has an applied tag reading "1/20 12 K.G.F." with the jeweler’s hallmark. The fancy twist-link chain has an inner diameter of about 15" and closes with a spring-ring clasp stamped "1/20 12K GF." This circa 1955 pendant has a little dark area on the upper edge of the bezel (visible only from the side), otherwise, it’s in great condition. It will arrive in the original "The Marquis Collection" faux leather.

Lacy Silver Gilt Plique a Jour Enamel & Jade Flower Pin / GF Pendant Necklace
This carefully hand-crafted silver vermeil flower pin / pendant is fired with subtly blended plique a jour enamels and set with a jade cabochon (it appears such, note dark speckled inclusions). The flower is 1 ¾" long, 1" wide, and 5/16" deep. The ultra fine mesh of the petals and leaves is gold-plated and covered in translucent enamel that shades from blue-gray to violet on the flowers’ outer petals and bright green to dark green on the leaves.
The 5mm center cabochon is encircled by ball-tipped stamens. The pin is stamped "Silver" on the back of the stem (likely .800 purity) and has a safety clasp pin. There is a small loop on the upper back to which I added a jump ring so you can also wear this charming flower as a pendant with the new/old stock 17" gold-filled neck chain with spring-ring clasp (included). This beguiling blossom is in excellent condition.

Exceptional Carving, Large 18K Gold Neoclassical Woman Shell Cameo Ring
This unusually large carved shell cameo ring immortalizes a lovely young maiden with wavy tresses held by a pleated bandeau with plumes in the Napoleonic or neoclassical style. The cameo is 1 3/16" high and 1 5/16" wide. The very fine carving of the portrait is pierced to enhance the depth of the hairstyle. The substantial basket mounting has a band stamped "18K" (partial) on the inside. The ring is a very wearable 7 and has a partial hallmark on the exterior of the band. The cameo is in excellent condition and with its exceptional size and detail it will not be overlooked.

Sculptural 1940's Tricolor Gold-Filled Figural Full Boom ROSE Bracelet
This is a remarkable 1940’s gold-filled bracelet: it has a vibrant distinct tones to the gold finish, it’s fully figural, and large! The full-bloom rose in white- and rose-gold bursts forth from a stem with three yellow-gold leaves tied with a large rose-gold bow. This motif measures 2 ¾" long, 1 ¾" high, and about ½" deep. This ornament curves to hug the wrist. The flexible flattened, ribbed side pieces bring the total length to 7 ¼"; one of these bands has a slight yellow-gold tone, one has slight rose-gold. A sleek box-push clasp completes this stunning bracelet which is in very fine condition. Made during the WWII period, this unsigned beauty (such modesty on the part of the maker!) is a rare design that will keep admirers reaching for your wrist!

CARL-ART Gold Filled Retro Flower with Faux Ruby Crystals
This curvy blossom with 1940’s Retro styling was made by Carl-Art and is gold-filled with two faceted faux rubies at the ends of the curls. The design is 2 7/8" wide and 1 5/8" high but you can position it at any angle. The cut-crystal crystals are collet-set and sparkling and have the deep fuchsia color of genuine rubies.
The brooch has the applied Carl-Art logo tag on the back and a safety clasp pin. It is in excellent condition.

Dramatic 6" Long 1940's Gilt Sword with Sheath 2-Piece Brooch
For economy and style, why not don this vintage cloak or coat brooch that is both a deterrent to unwelcome advances as well as a noteworthy accessory! The vintage gilt sword measures 6" long with a scabbard of 1 3/8" width and 1/2" depth. The handle is hand-wrapped in twisted wire and the removable sheath is permanently attached via safety chain. Typically used to secure a shawl or heavy scarf with flair, this theatrical device also looks stunning on a sweater or coat bodice. There are no marks on the piece which has the look of sterling vermeil with a silver back; it probably dates to the 1940s. Slip this sword on your garment of choice and you’ll have an instant conversation-starter!

High Quality Vintage CHINESE Large Cloisionne Beads Necklace
This vintage Chinese cloisonné enamel necklace is composed of exceptional 5/8" diameter beads enameled in a range of rich hues on glossy black. The 24 ½" long necklace has a domed push-clasp with vibrant yellow enamel offsetting a lush floral motif. The close-ups will enable you to appreciate the quality of the beads-—no muddy colors, bleeding enamels, or rough wires. The placement of enamels, multiple firings, and final polishing operations were all done with care. This necklace came from Barmakian Jewelers, a very fine establishment in Boston, twenty-five years ago and may have been vintage at that time. It is in excellent condition.

Estate 10K Yellow Gold Full-Body Snake Ring with Gem Set Head
As I am always charmed by snake jewelry, I could not let this beauty slide away. This estate snake ring is 10K gold, 1 ½" long, with a radiant diamond-cut body and gemstones adorning her head. The size 6 ring has two large faceted ruby eyes—each over 3mm in diameter. They may be synthetic rubies or rubellites as they appear to be without inclusions but rubies of this size are not rare unless they are perfect and untreated. The crown of the snake’s head is a 9mm long faceted marquise zircon or CZ (not a diamond, but then it would not be affordable!). The snake’s tail coils sinuously down your finger while the beguiling head angles upward. The inside is stamped "10KA." Long a symbol of true love, this exotic snake elongates and slenderizes the finger in a most flattering manner. This fabulous estate ring has real presence and is in excellent condition.

1941 Rose Gold-Filled RETRO Orchid Pendant Necklace, Superb Condition!
This feminine rose gold-filled necklace has the simple, stylized design of floral pieces so popular during the Cocktail Era of the 1940s. The pendant, depicting an orchid or other tropical flower, measures 1 5/8" wide by 1 ¼" high. The exotic bloom tumbles forth over a curved bar which is linked on each end to 6 ¾" of polished curb-length chain. Thus, the total interior measurement of the necklace is 15 ½". The back of the pendant is stamped "PAT 380141" dating it to 1941. The necklace is in excellent, unworn condition. Rose gold flatters every skin tone, even those not complimented by yellow gold, so this timeless Retro design will be instant flattery!

Bold 1940's RETRO Sterling Bow Brooch with Lg. Aqua Crystal Jewel
This high-impact 1940’s sterling silver bow brooch has the popular Retro styling of the day and uses both wide, pointed "ribbons" and thinner loops to create a dynamic design. The brooch measures 3 ¼" wide by 2 ½" high when placed horizontally but it works equally well worn vertically. The deep aquamarine crystal stone measures 1" by ¾" and has step-cut facets and a large table. There are two very tiny nicks on the side facets, only visible with magnification. The table is smoothly polished and scratch-free and wild prongs hold the stone in place.
The bow has a safety clasp pin back and is stamped "Sterling." The reverse shows traces of a rose wash, the front has some uneven patination but fellow jewelry aficionados have suggested I leave this period piece with finish as shown. (I played around with putting it on a chain and covering the pin with a small piece of black cloth, interesting!) This sterling bow is big enough to be seen on the silver screen, and more than large enough to lend any dress or jacket star quality!

Gorgeous, Large 14K Gold Habille Shell Cameo with Diamond Pin / Pendant
This special 14K Victorian style carved shell cameo portrait is graced with a diamond pendant. The deep bezel setting is 1 7/8" high and 1 1/2" wide. The shell cameo is finely carved as evidenced in the details of the lovely woman’s tresses and beaded bandeau, floral spray at her shoulder, and carved earrings. The white gold wire-twist necklace is set with a square pendant with a genuine diamond. As you can see, the shell has no defects and the diamond pendant is secure. The gold frame has an applied "14K" tag. The brooch has a safety clasp and there are also double loop bales which allow you to use a ribbon, chain, or even a pearl necklace to double the wearing options of this gorgeous cameo (I simply used faux pearls here). This fine hand-carved cameo is in excellent condition will easily become a family heirloom.

Vintage Sterling CAT Faces Bracelet , Superb Detail!
Extremely realistic cat faces are captured in sterling silver in this vintage bracelet. Each high-relief stamped link is 5/8" wide (not including connecting rings). The connecting links are hand-soldered. The features are amazing, from whiskers and mouths, to nostrils, cats-eye details, and tufts of hair at the ears. The portraits are quite Victorian in feeling. Each link has a plaque applied to the back. The plaques are not all identical (another sign of the hand-made nature and age of this bracelet) yet they are all stamped "925" indicating sterling silver purity. The bracelet is 8" long and has a spring-ring clasp stamped "925." I’ve never seen such a well-made cat model and with this lovely litter you’ll be in kitten heaven!

Fascinating Long Multi-Gemstone Carved Beads Necklace with Buddha
I purchased this fascinating, one-of-a-kind necklace several years ago at an estate sale. It came from a fine Boston area store and cost about $200 in the 1980’s. It’s such a mesmerizing combination of gemstones and styles that I’m sure you’ll be charmed too. I've taken images on several different backgrounds so you can appreciate the depth of colors and the cuts.
The 28 ½" necklace includes orbs of polished amethyst, aventurine, tigers eye quartz, and rose quartz as well as several novelty shapes in pink/black marble. There is a large 7/8" diameter green floral cloisonné bead, a carved rose quartz ¾" seated Buddha, rose quartz disks, and gold-filled spacer beads and filigree rounds to keep the necklace fluid. The fancy filigree clasp is gilt "Silver" as stamped. I purchased the necklace with its original receipt, it has never been worn. A perfect compliment to any pastel color ensemble and great way to start conversation with your admirers!

Carved Shell Cameo of Classic Beauty; GF Pin & Pendant Mounts
A classically coiffed beauty is carved in carnelian shell and set in a fancy gold-filled mounting to make a versatile brooch / pendant combination. The framed cameo measures 1 3/8" high and 1" wide. The carving is exceedingly well done: notice the daintiness of the ear, the drop earrings, and the detail on small beads of the necklace. A swinging bale allows you to wear the brooch as a pendant but drops out of sight when you prefer the safety clasp pin. The inside of the double wire-twist adorned frame is stamped "1/20 12K. G.F." This circa 1950 cameo is in excellent condition with flattering color and carving worth a second look.

Aventurine Pendant with Koi Fish & Fortune Symbol Set with Opals, Gems
This vintage Asian aventurine gemstone pendant has two sides for twice the beauty and luck! One side of the 2 5/8" has a polished aventurine stone plaque has a gold-plated good fortune symbol for a simpler look of Eastern mystery. The other side is set with engraved golden sea flora among which swim two koi fish with opal bodies. The koi have facetted amethyst eyes and blue-green smaller accent stones are set in the sea flowers. (I’ve taken images at a few different angles to capture the fire in the opals and the colors of the stones.) Aventurine is often confused with jade; it is translucent and has speckled shades of green scattered throughout.
The 24" gold-filled, spiral link chain closes with a spring-ring clasp; its profile mimics the twisted border of the pendant very nicely. It’s in great condition and could well bestow both beauty and bounty upon the wearer!
