Do take some time to admire the incredible handwork that went into carving the fine serrated edges on the leaves—some are translucent they are so thinly sculpted as they curl above the surface; the petals that furl into the centers of the roses; and the smoothly polished background. The natural cross-hatch graining is visible on the ultra-smooth interior of each bangle and the edges of the carved foliage and roses.

The bangles are in superb condition. It is rare to find a matched pair and the carving on this duo is truly impressive.

WIDE, Etched Vintage Gold-Filled Bangle with Ideal Monogram Panel This mid-century gold-filled bangle has exceptional size and brilliance plus its monogram panel is pristine—ideal for engraving! The width is ¾" and the inner diameter across the width is 2 3/8". The front has finely engraved leaves one each side of that diamond-shaped blank panel and the back is plain. I hope the photos allow you to see the details of the engraving—the polished finish was so bright on white it was hard not to wash everything out yet on black the fine criss-cross lines on those leaves and the scalloped edges of the diamond were nearly lost.

The bangle has a super secure push-button clasp and is stamped "1/20 12K G.F" on the inside. The condition is very fine with no damage. If you like gold, this has it in bright, big dimensions and can be personalized to suit only you!

Vintage VAN DELL Carved Ivory Roses & Gold-Filled Bracelet Three full-bloom roses are hand-carved of genuine ivory and set between gold-filled leaves in this vintage Van Dell bracelet. The total length is 7 3/8" with the width and depth of each rose at ½". The petals are carved in layers with the notches and furls of the natural flowers--each unique.

The ring at the end is stamped "Van Dell, 1/20 12KT GF" and the spring-ring clasp is stamped "1/20 12K." The bracelet is in wonderful condition and is a classic, mid-century piece that will always be in style. (Be sure to see the matching Van Dell rose pendant in m shop!)

Vintage VAN DELL Gold Filled Cuff with Bezel Set Opals Here’s an unusual spin on the vintage gold-filled cuff: this Van Dell lovely is adorned with four bezel-set opals within rope-twists frames. The mid 20th century bangle measures ½" wide and is 2 3/8" wide across the inside width of the oval. The back opening is 7/8" and you can adjust it a little either way.

Each opal is 5/16" wide and has a soft glow with tiny flecks of aqua, pink, and lavender visible when you move your wrist. The scalloped bezel settings add elegance as do the rope-twist marquises rigid links between the opals. The inside of the bangle is signed "Van Dell 1/20 12K G.F." The cuff is in wonderful condition and makes a lovely go-with for link bracelets or shows beautifully on its own.

Plump & Wide VAN DELL Gold Filled Engraved Florentine Hinged Bangle Bracelet Van Dell has long had a reputation among collectors for fine quality gold-filled jewelry that is well-made and endures and this plump vintage bangle is a fine example of how that reputation was made. The double-wall, Florentine finish design is 5/8" wide and 3/16" wide. The inside width across the width of the oval shape is 2 3/8"—this shape ensures that the bright cutting remains on the top of your wrist at all times.

And this sharp hand engraving of a big flower flanked by vines really pops against the brushed finished that entirely covers the exterior surface front and back. The bangle has a hidden side opening that opens to a maximum of 1 7/8"; the inside of the bangle is signed "Van Dell 1/20 12K G.F." This circa 1950 beauty is in wonderful condition. With its unusually generous width and rich finish, this bangle really is a prize for those who prize Van Dell’s collectible bracelets.

VAN DELL Carved Full Bloom IVORY ROSE on Gold-Filled Chain This vintage Van Dell pendant features a highly realistically carved ivory rose in full bloom suspended from a gold-filled chain. The dimensional rose is 1" across and ½" deep. The layers of petals reveal the care the artist took to capture the natural unfurling of the blossom and invite you to admire the rose up close where you will see the inherent grain of the ivory.

The back of the pendant has an affixed plaque signed "VAN DELL 12 KGF." The 18" chain is sterling vermeil with a spring-ring clasp stamped "925." This 1950’s period necklace is an eternally lovely style and is in superb condition.

High-Style 1940's Tricolor Gold-Filled Figural Full Bloom ROSE Bracelet This is a remarkable 1940’s gold-filled bracelet: it has a vibrant distinct tones to the gold finish, it’s fully figural, and large!

The full-bloom rose in white- and rose-gold bursts forth from a stem with three yellow-gold leaves tied with a large rose-gold bow. This motif measures 2 ¾" long, 1 ¾" high, and about ½" deep. This ornament curves to hug the wrist. The flexible flattened, ribbed side pieces bring the total length to 7 ¼"; one of these bands has a light yellow-gold tone, one has light rose-gold. A sleek box-push clasp completes this stunning bracelet which is in very fine condition. Made during the WWII period, this unsigned beauty (such modesty on the part of the maker!) is a rare design that will keep admirers reaching for your wrist!

Dramatic Estate 10K Yellow Gold Full-Body Snake Ring with Gem Set Head As I am always charmed by snake jewelry, I could not let this beauty slide away. This estate snake ring is 10K gold, 1 ½" long, with a radiant diamond-cut body and gemstones adorning her head. The size 6 ring has two large faceted ruby eyes—each over 3mm in diameter (no inclusions visible to the eye.) The crown of the snake’s head is a 9mm long faceted gem, most likely colorless quartz. The snake’s tail coils sinuously down your finger while the beguiling head angles upward. The inside is stamped "10KA." Long a symbol of true love, this exotic snake elongates and slenderizes the finger in a most flattering manner. This fabulous estate ring has real presence and is in excellent condition.

Exquisite Classic Beauty Heart Shape Cameo in Gold-Filled Brooch/Pendant Frame, wi This special vintage shell cameo was carved in a heart-shape with the stunning portrait of a gorgeous classic beautiful blessed with a bountiful head-full of hair and a pensive face. The cameo is mounted in a gold-filled frame that measures 1 ¼" high and 1" wide. The portrait was finely sculpted with delicate, feminine features and enhanced with flowers in the coiffure, beads falling down the neckline, and fabric folds across the bodice.

The bezel frame is surrounded by a rope-twist border and is topped with a rose- and yellow-gold bow. There is a hinged, retractable bale as well as a safety clasp pin. The maker’s hallmark and the gold-fill purity mark is on the attached plaque. The shell cameo was carved by a true artist and is in excellent condition. Included is a 16" gold-filled chain with spring-ring clasp. This is a lovely and timeless cameo that is unusual not only for its heart-shape but also for its left-facing portrait and is worthy of saving for generations to come.

Fascinating Long Multi-Gemstone Carved Beads Necklace with Buddha I purchased this fascinating, one-of-a-kind necklace several years ago at an estate sale. It came from a fine Boston area store and cost about $200 in the 1980’s. It’s such a mesmerizing combination of gemstones and styles that I’m sure you’ll be charmed too. I've taken images on several different backgrounds so you can appreciate the depth of colors and the cuts.

The 28 ½" necklace includes orbs of polished amethyst, aventurine, tigers eye quartz, and rose quartz as well as several novelty shapes in pink/black marble. There is a large 7/8" diameter green floral cloisonné bead, a carved rose quartz ¾" seated Buddha, rose quartz disks, and gold-filled spacer beads and filigree rounds to keep the necklace fluid. The fancy filigree clasp is gilt "Silver" as stamped. I purchased the necklace with its original receipt, it has never been worn. A perfect compliment to any pastel color ensemble and great way to start conversation with your admirers!

Gorgeous, Large 14K Gold Habille Shell Cameo with Diamond Pin / Pendant This special 14K Victorian style carved shell cameo portrait is graced with a diamond pendant. The deep bezel setting is 1 7/8" high and 1 1/2" wide. The shell cameo is finely carved as evidenced in the details of the lovely woman’s tresses and beaded bandeau, floral spray at her shoulder, and carved earrings. The white gold wire-twist necklace is set with a square pendant with a genuine diamond. As you can see, the shell has no defects and the diamond pendant is secure.

The gold frame has an applied "14K" tag. The brooch has a safety clasp and there are also double loop bales which allow you to use a ribbon, chain, or even a pearl necklace to double the wearing options of this gorgeous cameo (I simply used faux pearls here). This fine hand-carved cameo is in excellent condition will easily become a family heirloom.

1940's Gold-Filled Double Aquamarine Crystal & Genuine Pearl Pendant Necklace This 1940’s gold-filled pendant necklace showcases two richly colored aquamarine crystals and a genuine cultured pearl in a leafy presentation. The total length of the pendant including bale is 1 5/8" and the width is 5/8". The faceted simlulated aquamarine ovals are set in open-back bezel frames to maximize light transmission. Below them dangles a 5mm cultured white pearl. The bale can accommodate a chain or ribbon of up to 3mm in diameter. The back of the leaf ornament is signed "PR.ST.CO 1/2012KG." The 12K gold-filled 18" chain has a spring-ring clasp. The necklace is in excellent condition and is an enduringly lovely 1940’s Retro beauty.  

Unusual Vintage Polished Onyx & Jewel Pendant Necklace, GF Bow Bale, Orig. Box This vintage gold-filled pendant uses a pretty bow and leaf bale to suspend a polished convex onyx oval set in a gold-filled bezel mounting with a jeweled center. The bow is 1 1/8" wide and the onyx oval is 5/8" high; the total height from the top of the bow to the bottom of the pendant is 1 5/8".

A satin finish on the top portion of the bow’s loops is contrasted by brightly polished edges; the leaf is satin-finished. The crystal (or clear gem) in the pendant is set open-back within a rhodium or silver diamond frame. The back of the pendant has an applied tag reading "1/20 12 K.G.F." with the jeweler’s hallmark. The fancy twist-link chain has an inner diameter of about 15" and closes with a spring-ring clasp stamped "1/20 12K GF." This circa 1955 pendant has a little dark area on the upper edge of the bezel (visible only from the side), otherwise, it’s in great condition. It will arrive in the original "The Marquis Collection" faux leather.
 

Lacy Silver Gilt Plique a Jour Enamel & Jade Flower Pin / GF Pendant Necklace This carefully hand-crafted silver vermeil flower pin / pendant is fired with subtly blended plique a jour enamels and set with a jade cabochon (it appears such, note dark speckled inclusions). The flower is 1 ¾" long, 1" wide, and 5/16" deep. The ultra fine mesh of the petals and leaves is gold-plated and covered in translucent enamel that shades from blue-gray to violet on the flowers’ outer petals and bright green to dark green on the leaves.

The 5mm center cabochon is encircled by ball-tipped stamens. The pin is stamped "Silver" on the back of the stem (likely .800 purity) and has a safety clasp pin. There is a small loop on the upper back to which I added a jump ring so you can also wear this charming flower as a pendant with the new/old stock 17" gold-filled neck chain with spring-ring clasp (included). This beguiling blossom is in excellent condition.

 

Exceptional Carving, Large 18K Gold Neoclassical Woman Shell Cameo Ring This unusually large carved shell cameo ring immortalizes a lovely young maiden with wavy tresses held by a pleated bandeau with plumes in the Napoleonic or neoclassical style. The cameo is 1 3/16" high and 1 5/16" wide. The very fine carving of the portrait is pierced to enhance the depth of the hairstyle. The substantial basket mounting has a band stamped "18K" (partial) on the inside. The ring is a very wearable 7 and has a partial hallmark on the exterior of the band. The cameo is in excellent condition and with its exceptional size and detail it will not be overlooked.
