Click for more detail...
Rich 1950's Emerald Art Glass & Faux Pearl 3-Strand Necklace Three strands of deep emerald green and black beads, lustrous soft green pearls, and jet black glass novelty beads make this necklace a luxurious accent for simple necklines. The shortest strand with extender and clasp included is 17" and the longest is 19 ¾". The largest mint green faux pearl is 15mm and the longest green and black swirled bead is 20mm. The compressed black round beads have inclusions of green foils dots—very Italian in flavor—and the smaller compressed rounds are green with the thin black swirls. The solid black beads come in chubby disks and slimmer ribbed bicones. Translucent gold-lined pony beads are interspersed between all the beads to keep the strands fluid. The gold-tone hook and clasp is stamped "Germany" and I believe this is old pre-war stock used during the 1950’s as that is style of this necklace. The necklace is in excellent condition and has a very rich look to it that compliments both softer and darker hues.

Click for more detail...
Luxurious Vintage Aqua Faux Jewel & Black Velvet Adjustable Choker Necklace I love the drama of this vintage faux aquamarine jewel and velvet choker: tie it high or low, with bow ends in back or to the side, or use it as a headband or chignon wrap! The finely made accessory (perhaps from a stage production), is made of large hard plastic, facetted aquamarine jewels (glass would have been too heavy) which are set, open-back, in individual prongs and invisibly sewn to the black velvet tube. The choker portion is wired too, so it hugs your neck without pinching and has a straight line on the neck. The choker portion is a little over 12" in length and the total length is about 52". The width is about ¾". The jewels have such sparkle, you’d swear they were lead crystal—these 1930’s simulants are so beguiling! This unique choker is in excellent condition and I know you’ll find a number of ways to employ its flattering form!

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item Glass_Pearls_3-Strand_RS: High-Quality Vintage 3-Strand GLASS Pearls Bracelet with Rhinestone Clasp
Click for more detail...
High-Quality Vintage 3-Strand GLASS Pearls Bracelet with Rhinestone Clasp This impressive vintage glass-pearl bracelet has three warm blush-tone strands of 7mm rounds, hand-knotted, and clasped with rhinestones. Lovely! The bracelet is 7 ½" long and just under 1" wide with the strands touching each other. Both ends of each strand are gold bullion-wrapped—a laborious technique that was rarely used outside of Europe. These tiny wire coils protect the thread within from wearing and tearing on the findings. The box clasp has a patterned lattice back and the front is cast with diagonal ribbed designs on the outer bars; in the center are three rhinestone chatons and the ends have golden bosses (domes). The tabbed push-tab stays in place till you want it out, it is reliable!

Although unmarked, the bracelet is very fine quality. I have found that many better costume pieces are unsigned—one should collect and wear what one likes and I appreciate them just as much as the named pieces. The pearls here have gorgeous luster and the rhinestones reflect superbly in the bracelet and it has no damage. And, sure, you can tell admirers its costume, but, you don’t have to….

Click for more detail...
1930's Art Deco Star-Molded Amber Glass Pendants & Filigree Necklace Star-molded amber glass tablets square filigree links give this Art Deco necklace a clean, timeless appeal. The rhodium-plated necklace is 15 ½" long and the center glass tablet is 5/8" deep and 7/8" wide. Each amber glass rectangle is reverse-cut with a starburst design and set in a saw-tooth bezel. The necklace closes with a spring-ring (small, 18KT stamp, probably part of a gold-filled mark). This 1930’s necklace has the strong simplicity of design that keeps these period pieces in demand and it’s in excellent condition.

Click for more detail...
Impressive 1930's ART DECO Collar Necklace with Huge Amethyst Glass Jewels This stunning 1930’s Art Deco collar necklace is made up of the largest glass jewels I have seen in years! Each of the eight amethyst-color, faceted demilunes measures 1 3/8" wide by 7/8" high by ¼" deep. The jewels are transparent and prong-set in gilded metal cups (there is some wear to the gilding, mostly on the backs and the connecting rings). The color of the jewels is rich and the unusual peak-center styles are very moderne. The jewel next to the clasp has one very tiny edge chip, easily overlooked. The inner length of the necklace is 14" and it closes with a brass spring-ring clasp. If you prefer, I can add an extender chain and/or hook so the necklace can be worn at various lengths. The necklace has some weight as the glass is solid but it is not uncomfortable to wear. All shades of purple are in vogue again this season and if you want to be noticed, this Art Deco piece will do it!

The bracelet is 7 1/8" long and 3/16" wide. Each crystal is set in a deep, open-backed bezel with Art Deco zigzag patterns on the sides. The closure is a slim box-clasp. Delizza & Elster JULIANA Black & White Layered Leaf Pin The high-contrast black and white of this DeLizza & Elster Juliana pin adds even more drama to the multi-layer style! The 2 ½" long bough features a large white leaf prong-set with opaque marquises over which bends a white flower with smaller white marquises. An artistic pair of loops is layered over each other; each has prong-set jet rhinestones. The finishing touch—the stem—has small glued jet rhinestones. The back of the brooch shows the open and closed settings and the "wire over" technique made famous by D&E. The pin secures with a safety clasp. This sharp Juliana foliage fantasy is in excellent condition.

Click for more detail...
Chunky 1930's Spinach Green Wide BAKELITE Bangle This vintage Bakelite bangle is an intriguing blend of green, light yellow and ivory tones called "creamed spinach" and it has a hefty width of 1". The interior opening of the domed walls is just over 2 ½". The material tests positive as Bakelite and the condition is very fine with just a small ½" page of scuffs on one edge; no chips or cracks. (Note that only under extremely bright light do they appear, ditto on the faint blue cast you may see on the inside only). Be sure to see the matching chain-linked creamed spinach Bakelite beads also in the shop.

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item Egyptian_Faience_Coral_Brass_Brac: Wide C1925 Egyptian Faience & Coral Glass Bead 10-Strand Bracelet, Filigree Clasp
Click for more detail...
Wide C1925 Egyptian Faience & Coral Glass Bead 10-Strand Bracelet, Filigree Clasp This early 20th century Egyptian bracelet is made of hand-formed filigree scrolls and hand-made faience porcelain beads glazed in turquoise interspersed with hand-made coral glass oblongs. The 10-strand bracelet flares from a length of 7 1/8" at the wrist end to 7 ¾" at the other. The clasp, too, widens away from the wrist. The width of the bracelet at the clasp is 1 ¾" but the strands spread to about 2 ¼" in the center. The clasp is an elaborate gate-work of scrolls which meet in the center in an ancient bar and tube closure. You push in the bar to join the tubes invisibly behind the clasp. The bar is slight curved at the tip to keep from falling out of the tube. You can wear the clasp showing or the beads to double your options!

The faience beads are slender tubes with intense turquoise glaze, some have slightly worn finishes and one is cracked. The coral beads and brass quatrefoils join the faience tubes with circular brass rings.

The book "Popular Jewelry" by Roseann Ettinger shows a set similar to this bracelet from the period of about 1920 when Egyptomania took over the fashion and art world. This is an exotic vintage accessory which instantly gives you an air of worldly style.

Click for more detail...
Fabulous 1930's CZECH Style Turquoise Glass Bead Fringes Bracelet The fringe element is alive and thriving in this vintage brass book chain bracelet strung with dozens of opaque turquoise bead fringes. The Czechoslovakia style design measures 7 ¼" long including the spring-ring clasp. The fringes are composed of tiny turquoise orbs above the chain and strands of increasingly large beads, chain-linked, below. The total width is 1 ½". The patina on the floral-embossed book chain bars is as found and enhances the rich aged appearance of this circa 1930 bracelet. When worn, the fringes fall down over the hand and create a shimmy of beads that draws attention to the lucky wrist! The bracelet is in excellent condition.

Chunky 1930's Creamed Spinach Green BAKELITE Necklace with Large Beads You’ll reach for this strand of large "creamed spinach" beads whenever you want a vintage Bakelite necklace with presence and simple style. Click for more detail...
Striking Art Deco Copper, Brass & Enamel Machine Age Necklace I am a plated-in-chrome Deco-phile so I could not let this unusual Machine Age model get by me. The centerpiece incorporates both brass and copper finish ornaments with half-sphere centers. Three of them are rimmed with concentric rings and topped with maroon red-spice color enamel in the channels. If Chase Brass & Copper Co. had made jewelry as well as cocktail accessories, this would have been a fast seller!

The necklace measures 16 ¼" long and the angular link stramds of the chains meet at a spring-ring clasp. The condition is very fine—no missing enamel and an inviting warm patina on all the metal with brighter finish on the brass domes.

Click for more detail...
Fancy 19060's White Satin Faux Pearls with Black Abstract Pattern Print The white and black combo of abstract patterns on these white satin faux pearls gives this 1960’s necklace a high-fashion look. The 21 ½" long strand is made of 5/8" diameter beads with randomly printed "ink spot" figures—think amoebas or the free-form organic prints of the mid-century. Each bead has a glossy black filigree cap on each end and small black seed beads keep the strand fluid. An ornamental half-bead-in-bezel, box-clasp finishes the strand in style. It is stamped "Hong Kong" on the back. Virtually no colored metal shows on the clasp, so you can wear the bold beads with jewels of silver or gold. You can also show off the clasp at the side of the neckline. The condition is unworn and very fine.
