This antique Victorian silver pin features a horseshoe hanging on a fence gate—two symbols of the beloved horse corral. The pin measures 1 ¼" wide by 1" high and has a lustrous, gleaming surface. The pin is sterling silver, not marked but it tests as such. The circa 1880 brooch has the slightly extended pin shaft with T-bar and hinge and the old-fashioned C-clasp. This circa 1880 novelty is in excellent condition.
