This naturalistic Victorian gold-finished bar pin depicts a tree bough—complete with knots and a textured bark! The 2 ¼" long pin is set with a mother-of-pearl cabochon which is surmounted by facetted paste stones on tiny arms (they are slightly dark after a century). A dainty chain swings asymmetrically below the pretty bough. The pin has a wide, C-clasp style back. In lovely condition, this circa 1890 bar pin is ideal for the nature lover who doesn’t mind gilding the bough! |
