This 1940’s Victorian Revival brooch combines two of the 19th century’s favorites romantic motifs: the circle, which symbolizes eternal affection, and the buckled garter--Queen Victoria was the Sovereign of the Royal Order of the Garter, a select group of Knights and Ladies whose honors are bestowed by the Queen. This antiqued brass brooch is 2 1/8" in diameter and has a most delicate pattern of diamonds stamped on the ring. The belted garter’s buckle and loop are very realistically detailed. The pin has a safety catch. This buckled garter pin is a classic design and is in very fine condition.
