C1900 German Pin of a Carved Abalone Sash with Gold Filled Buckle

This darling circa 1900 Germany pin take the form of a buckled ladies belt or sash. The carved abalone belt is 2 1/8" long and ˝" wide at the buckle. As the light changes, the abalone reflects luminous shades of aqua and lavender. This gold-filled ornament wraps to the back and is complimented by two golden sash "holes." The maks on the gold-filled back are "Ges. Gesch." (indicating a German design patent)and the jeweler’s hallmark. The pin shaft itself is stamped "Germany." This sweet antique novelty pin is in excellent condition.
