These mid-century Modernist sterling silver earrings were designed by Norwegian artist Ivar Holth and enameled in white using the guilloche technique. Each petal-form earring is 1 1/8" high and is gilded on the back and the edges. Tiny rays or ribs radiate from the point of each earring, suggesting the folds of a flower petal. The earrings have clip backs and are stamped "925S Sterling Norway" with the hallmark of Ivar Holth (sometimes misspelled Holt). The lustrous enamel earrings are in excellent condition. Their gently evocative form complements both abstract and representational shapes so they will go perfectly with other enamel necklaces and bracelets. |
