Multicolored items always shout "Festival!" to me so I was immediately drawn to this vintage bracelet made of bricks of laminated, colored wood. Using much the same colors as the 1930’s Czechoslovakia wood bead jewelry, this light-hearted and lightweight bracelet measures 7 ¾" by 1". Each link has one long brick and two short ones; the placement of bricks alternates between links as does the orientation of the shorter brinks within each link. The color carries through to the ends in all bricks.
The backings of the links are gold-plated brass; there is some slight pitting but the plating is nearly all intact. The fold-over clasp keeps the bracelet secure. The colors are slightly muted and would complement other colored wood, plastic, or Bakelite accessories very well. Festival time is here for one happy wrist!
