This vintage signed CINI sterling pin has intricate pierced Rococo style scrolls and florals surrounding a large glowing green chrysoprase cabochon jewel. The pin measures 2 5/8" long by 5/8" wide and 7/16" deep. Arabesque leafy curls cast in solid silver flow around small flowers in designs that look like they could have been taken directly from an ornate iron garden gate.
The oval chrysoprase cabochon is bezel-set and rimmed with a wire-twist band. The reverse is signed "CINI" and the pin has a safety clasp. I have left the patina as found as collectors prefer this in older pieces. The condition is wonderful.
Guglielmo Cini was a master jeweler who first learned his art in Florence, Italy, before immigrating to Boston in 1922 and then Laguna Beach, California. The Cini name has always been synonymous with the finest hand-crafted, heirloom-quality silver jewelry.
