Who says beach casual can’t be chic? This vintage collar necklace of three types of woven seashells is naturally elegant. The wider portion is of creamy white cowrie shells; the contrasting border is of cocoa brown varieties and the inner trim is dainty light yellow peaked top mini snail shells (gosh, if only I knew all the names!).
The collar measures 1 5/8" wide at the front and tapers to ½" at the back. It closes with a 1930’s type screw-barrel clasp. The shells are lustrous and without breaks; the weaving is solid yet allows for a flexible fit. What’s more natural for the seaside style-maven?
