I love mechanical jewelry and fans so this vintage brooch / pendant was an instant "get it!" The Toledo ware or Damascene enamel fan measures 2 ¼" wide by 1 ¾" wide when fully unfolded. The panels have golden scrolls on a black background and are outlined in beaded silver borders.

The fan has a safety clasp pin on the back and you may use the handle to attach a tassel if you wish. However, the handle is a natural bail as shown with the included 18" gold-plated, bright-cut, curb-link chain with spring-ring clasp.

The fan has some slight tonal variations on the back only; the front is in superb condition as is the chain.
