This fancy tricolor metal circa 1915 locket was the Art Deco girl’s version of a Victorian keepsake updated with a rectangular shape and, guilloche’ or engine-turned engraving.
The silver, cheery yellow-gold, and rose-gold color of the front is vertically engraved with wavy bands on the left and right panels and diagonal straight and zigzag stripes across the center field. In the upper right is a rectangular panel outline ideal for a monogram (never used).
The locket can hold two photos, each measuring 1 ˝: by 1" under the rims of the brass-color inside. Or you can certainly use it to hold a special love note or even blotting papers in the old romantic style.

The interior is stamped SOB Co on each side; this mark belonged to SO Bigney & Co.of Attleboro, Massachusetts. The back of the locket is a yellow gold color with pairs of vertical engraved bands. The locket is in wonderful condition with only light surface wear. It comes on a 17 1 /4" long rose gold-filled rolo chain with tube push-clasp.
