Two curvaceous shells with elaborate overlays adorn the face of this vintage Victorian Revival style hinged bangle bracelet. The front of the bracelet is ¾" high and the back is 3/8" high. The applied shells and openwork garlands are heavily oxidized to produce an antiqued appearance. The bangle itself has a fabric pattern with bright rhodium finish.
A firm hinge is accessed on the opposite side via a push bar; it is reinforces with a safety chain. The bangle has in inner diameter of 2 ¼" and the maximum width at the opening is 2 ½". The condition is super, never-worn and the style and quality are on a par with Whiting & Davis (I know they did not mark all their pieces). If you like an antique bracelet but with the look and durability (not to mention price) of a vintage find, look no farther!)
