Rich green Peking jade glass ovals are set in yellow gold-filled mountings in this mid-century pendant and necklace set. The oval pendant measures 9/16" high (not including bail) and 7/16" wide. The fruit and foliage designs show mottled shades of apple green; the slight variations in "carvings" and details between the three pieces show the hand-finished details.
The back of the pendant has an applied circular plaque reading "VD 12K GF" signifying Van Dell, a maker known for the best quality gold-filled jewelry. The 18" fine-link chain has a spring-ring clasp stamped "1/20 14K."
The matching earrings are just over ˝" high and 3/8" wide. They have adjustable screw findings stamped "Van Dell 1/20 12K G.F." on the ends of the screw adjustments.
This lovely vintage pendant and earring set came from the estate form which I got many fine pieces, either barely worn or never worn. This set has the original sturdy metal gift box with faux shagreen covering, velvet insert, satin printed cover of the private jeweler, price tag, and tissue insert. Of course, all the pieces are in excellent condition.
