This mid-century German modernist brooch has the feeling of a cosmic event unfolding and merges textured, molten curves with smoothly polished ribbons. The brooch measures about 1 ¾" across when the open, pointed end is at the bottom and is 1 ¾" high and 5/8" deep.
You can position the brooch so the swirl ends at any angle you like—you can even wear it as a pendant by pinning it on a ribbon to tie around your necklace or hanging it from a chain. (Chain shown not included, similar gold-filled chains are available.) The pin shaft extends slightly beyond the brooch in the Victorian manner and has a safety clasp. The applied jeweler’s tag reads "1/80/18Kt RGP, Germany, F". This mod, spin on the classic and timeless circle of life is in excellent condition.
