The sterling branch features two flowers, guilloche’ enameled in bright periwinkle blue, white, sunny yellow, shades of green, and lapis blue. The overall design is 1 ¾" long by about ¾" wide. The petals of the larger flower and the leaves have fine surface etchings of tiny rows of triangles beneath the enamel. The marcasites are set in beaded mountings.
The silver has a rhodium finish for tarnish resistance and extra brilliance. The back is stamped "Sterling" and the pin secures with a safety clasp. This style of work was usually done in Germany or Austria and this darling example is in garden-fresh condition!
