This dainty antique stickpin is topped with a hand-painted porcelain plaque of charming blue Forget-Me-Not blossoms. The overall length is 2 5/8" and the circular porcelain plaque is 5/8" in diameter. The glossy, kiln-fired floral bouquet is very carefully and neatly rendered with depth—visual and tactile—to the petals. The gilt-brass base is pronged to hold the plaque securely.
The nib is stamped a safe and smart way to hold the stickpin in place; it is stamped "Hold-On Res’D Pat. Aug. 17 ’09." This darling stickpin is perfect for securing a scarf, brightening a collar or lapel—or clustering with other porcelain brooches for a unique vertical accent!
