In the beloved style of Edwardian guilloche’ ladies’ jewelry, this sterling silver pin contrasts black and white with soft hand-painted rose blossoms. The oblong is 1 ¼" wide and ½" high.
The white field has engraved white horizontal ribs simulating fine silk ribbons, upon which are painted pale peach-pink framed by soft foliage and blue buds. At four points on the black, fancy-cut rim are white enamel fans, also with ribs. The pin secures with a C-clasp and is stamped with "Sterling" and the H-in-triangle hallmark of F. A. Hermann Company of Massachusetts. Condition is excellent on all the lustrous glass enamel. The pin’s size lends itself well to wearing on a collar, lapel, or even a neck ribbon.
