This dainty Victorian era bar pin is rendered in two tones and features a line of lucky clovers within two circular-capped ends.
The bar is 2 1/4" long and 7/16" wide. The clovers and the arcs at each end are polished rose-gold filled or gold-plated finish, the remainder of the pin has a "bloomed" matte finish yellow. Tiny bosses (balls) and minute sun-rays on the ends are very fine in detail and show no damage. The overall finish has darkened slightly but I prefer not to polish antiques of this period, circa 1860.
The silver color metal pin shaft secures under a wide curled clasp. Originally worn at the collar or to secure a lace scarf or fichu is in wonderful condition and adds a grace worn singly in or in small groupings.
