Pewter Medal - AMERICA'S FIRST MEDALS Series - #1 Issued by the U.S. Mint starting in 1973. This medal is the first of a series of 10 issued to commemorate the battles of the American Revolutionary War.

This medal honors George Washington, as a reproduction of the original medal issued to him for the liberation of Boston in 1776. The coin is high-relief and inscribed in Latin.

Uncirculated condition, made of pewter, 1 1/2" diameter. Original plastic outer case in included, as well as fold-out paper flyer which explains Washington's role in the War for Independence. Flyer has some age yellowing spots on the cover page.

1973 American Revolution Bicentennial Medal - Sterling Issued by the American Revolution Bicentennial Commission. Medal is uncirculated condition, sterling silver (.925 pure silver), and encased in a plastic holder. Medal is 1 1/2" diameter. Encased metal inserts in black plastic outer holder which is housed in a leatherette covered snap-open container. Descriptive flyer insert included, all as originally issued by the San Francisco Mint.

Medal depicts Samuel Adams and Patrick Henry on the obverse, and the reverse side depicts the Committees of Correspondence, whose purpose was to inform each other and the Americans of British actions against American liberties.

1975 Paul Revere BICENTENNIAL MEDAL A 1 1/2" diameter bronze medal issued by the Bicentennial Commission to commemorate Paul Revere for his part in the movement that led to the Revolutionary War.

Coin is encased in plastic holder, with an outer plastic case. Excellent condition.

1976 Statue of Liberty Bicentennial Medal - Bronze These 1976 medals were issued in both bronze and silver by the American Revolution Bicentennial Commission to help fund national, state, and community Bicentennial activities. Bronze coin measures 1 1/2" diameter.

Medal is encased in a plastic holder. Complete as issued, with it's leatherette outer case and flyer insert describing the medal. Discolorations to coloring in pics. is caused by camera glare.

Uncirculated and excellent condition, no toning.

1976 American Revolution Bicentennial Medal - Jefferson Issued by the American Revolution Bicentennial Commission. Medal is uncirculated condition, bronze, and encased in a plastic holder. Medal is 1 1/2" diameter. Outer plastic case and descriptive flyer insert are included. Light yellowing spots to flyer.

Medal depicts Thomas Jefferson on the obverse, and the reverse side depicts the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

NASA Apollo Soyuz Space Mission Medal in Pewter A 1 3/16" high-relief pewter commemorative medal. Coin commemorates the July 15, 1975 launch of the first international manned space mission. The Apollo Soyuz test project was the final flight of the Apollo program.

The medals were struck for NASA by the L. G. Balfour Company of Massachusetts. These medals were made for distribution to NASA and space industry employees that worked on the missions. The designs were taken from sketches and photographs approved by NASA artist and technicians associated with each mission. Medals were struck in both sterling silver and pewter for the various Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo missions.

Medal is in mint condition, and it's original plastic case is included. L.G. Balfour is impressed into the plastic on backside of case. Backside of medal depicts same graphic, with all wording in Russian.

Issued by the San Francisco mint to honor the roles of Samuel Adams and Patrick Henry in the movement that led to the American Revolutionary war. The stamps depict the Boston Tea Party, organized by Adams.

The medal was issued by the San Francisco Mint to honor the role of Thomas Jefferson.

This set is complete as issued by the American Revolution Bicentennial commission, the bronze medal is uncirculated and sealed in a shrink-wrap plastic sleeve.
