BLACK SILK Stove Polish, manufactured by J.L. Prescott Co. of Passaic, New Jersey. Tin itself made by CANCO. Use was to give a lustrous finish to metal stoves, grills, and andirons.

Tin is 5 1/4" to top of cap. Very nice display condition; one of the narrow sides has a couple very small scratches and a small black streak (remnents of dripped contents).
