Condition: used Manufacturer: Southern Potteries - Blue Ridge
The pattern is Bow Knot. Similar to the Whirligig pattern which is in a grayish-blue and burgundy instead. Set includes a covered sugar bowl and creamer. I'll also include a 5 1/4" fruit/berry bowl which could be used underneath the creamer or stand-alone as a sugar-spoon rest on the table or as a container for individual packets of sugar.
Pattern is from late 1940s I believe, pic. of backstamp is from another piece in the set, the sugar, creamer, bowl do not contain a backstamp. The style is fluted edge and hand-painted, with sponge-type edgings in hunter-green to match the leaves color.
All in wonderful condition, no repairs, no crazing. The pieces appear to have had very little use. There is an extremely tiny flake on the underside rim of the berry bowl, and the bottom rim of sugar has a small flaw in the china rather than a chip (smooth and glazed-over); creamer has 1 very small 1/4" rim chip at outside edge of bottom rim that's not distracting. Weight is approx. 1 1/4" lb.
Shipping: At actual cost. $8.90 or less via parcel post, depending on your zip. Note that due to weight, this item is excluded from the no-charge ship offer. |
