This is a vintage unusally shaped Chinese decorative lacquerware vase dating from the 1950's. The ground is a shiny black lacquer and the decoration consists of birds and flowers done in mother of pearl. This lovely piece stands 10.5 inches tall and is 7 inches in diameter.
