Watercolor Painting ~ Natural Cherry Frame ~ 1950s This is an exceptionally nice watercolor for your consideration. It was purchased in the Southwest directly from the artist during the late 1950s. The original owner has since passed and I am unable to read the signature. The painting is matted very nicely and has a non-glare glass over it. The frame is approximately 6 inches wide and is unfinished natural cherry wood. It nicely compliments the yellow, white, orange and green colors in the painting. The measurement of the painting 28-1/2 by 23-1/2 inches.

Combat Painting USMC ~ Christmas In Con Thien Viet Nam This painting is by Corporal Henry C. Cassell, Jr., USMC. It is titled Christmas In Con Thien (Hill of Angels). It is framed and matted but at some point the matting got water stained at the bottom. There is no damage to the painting whatsoever. Underneath the picture is USMC Combat Art Collection. It appears to be a watercolor. It is sealed on the backside and I did not want to try to remove it from the frame. This piece is very well done and would be a wonderful addition to a Viet Nam collection.
